תֶהֶרְסֶֽנּוּ	בְּיָדֶ֥יהָ	וְ֝אִוֶּ֗לֶת	בֵיתָ֑הּ	בָּנְתָ֣ה	נָ֭שִׁים	חַכְמֹ֣ות
𐤕𐤄𐤓𐤎𐤍𐤅	􉀑𐤉𐤃𐤉𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕	􉀑𐤉𐤕𐤄	􉀑𐤍𐤕𐤄	𐤍𐤔𐤉𐤌	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤅𐤕
tha-ha-ra-sa-nwa	ba-ya-da-yha	wa-aa-wa-la-tha	ba-ytha-ha	ba-na-tha-ha	na-sha-ym	cha-ka-ma-wtha
teheresenw	beyadeyha	we'iwelet	beytah	banetah	nasiym	hakemowt
tears it down	with her own hands.	but a foolish one	her house,	builds	woman	Every wise

14-1. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

בֹּוזֵֽהוּ	דְּרָכָ֣יו	וּנְלֹ֖וז	יְהוָ֑ה	יְרֵ֣א	בְּ֭יָשְׁרֹו	הֹולֵ֣ךְ
􉀑𐤅𐤆𐤄𐤅	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤉𐤅	𐤅𐤍𐤋𐤅𐤆	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤉𐤓𐤀	􉀑𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤅	𐤄𐤅𐤋𐤊
ba-wza-hwa	da-ra-ka-ywa	wna-la-wz	ya-hwa-ha	ya-ra-a	ba-ya-sha-ra-wa	ha-wla-ka
bowzehw	derakayw	wnelowz	yehwah	yere'	beyaserow	howleke
despises Him.	in his ways	but the one who is devious	the LORD,	fears	in uprightness	He who walks

14-2. He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

תִּשְׁמוּרֵֽם	חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים	וְשִׂפְתֵ֥י	גַּאֲוָ֑ה	חֹ֣טֶר	אֱ֭וִיל	בְּֽפִי

tha-sha-mwra-m	chaka-ma-ym	wa-sha-pa-tha-ya	ga-aawa-ha	cha-ta-r	au-wa-yl	ba-pa-ya
tisemwrem	hakamiym	wesipetey	ga'awah	hoter	'ewiyl	bepiy
protect them.	of the wise	but the lips	The proud	brings a rod to his back,	of a fool	speech

14-3. In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

שֹֽׁור	בְּכֹ֣חַ	תְּ֝בוּאֹ֗ות	וְרָב	בָּ֑ר	אֵב֣וּס	אֲ֭לָפִים	בְּאֵ֣ין

sha-wr	ba-ka-cha	tha-bwaa-wtha	wa-ra-b	ba-r	aa-bwsh	aala-pa-ym	ba-aa-yn
sowr	bekoha	tebw'owt	werab	bar	'ebws	'alapiym	be'eyn
of the ox.	through the strength	harvest comes	but an abundant	is empty,	the manger	oxen,	Where there are no

14-4. Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

pro 14:5

שָֽׁקֶר	עֵ֣ד	כְּ֝זָבִ֗ים	וְיָפִ֥יחַ	יְכַזֵּ֑ב	לֹ֣א	אֱ֭מוּנִים	עֵ֣ד
𐤔𐤒𐤓	𐤏𐤃	𐤊𐤆􉀑𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤉𐤇	𐤉𐤊𐤆􉀑	𐤋𐤀	𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤍𐤉𐤌	𐤏𐤃
sha-qa-r	'a-d	ka-za-ba-ym	wa-ya-pa-ycha	ya-ka-za-b	la-a	au-mwna-ym	'a-d
saqer	'ed	kezabiym	weyapiyha	yekazeb	lo'	'emwniym	'ed
but a dishonest	witness	lies.	pours forth	deceive,	does not	An honest	witness

14-5. A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

pro 14:6

נָקָֽל	לְנָבֹ֣ון	וְדַ֖עַת	וָאָ֑יִן	חָכְמָ֣ה	לֵ֣ץ	בִּקֶּשׁ
𐤍𐤒𐤋	𐤋𐤍􉀑𐤅𐤍	𐤅𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄	𐤋𐤑	􉀑𐤒𐤔
na-qa-l	la-na-ba-wn	wa-da-'a-tha	wa-aa-ya-n	cha-ka-ma-ha	la-tz	ba-qa-sha
naqal	lenabown	weda'at	wa'ayin	hakemah	les	biqes
comes easily	to the discerning.	but knowledge	and [finds] none,	wisdom	A mocker	seeks

14-6. A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

pro 14:7

דָֽעַת	שִׂפְתֵי	יָ֝דַ֗עְתָּ	וּבַל	כְּסִ֑יל	לְאִ֣ישׁ	נֶּגֶד	מִ֭	לֵ֣ךְ
𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤔𐤐𐤕𐤉	𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤅􉀑𐤋	𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋	𐤋𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤍𐤂𐤃	𐤌	𐤋𐤊
da-'a-tha	sha-pa-tha-ya	ya-da-'a-tha	wba-l	ka-sa-yl	la-aa-ysha	na-ga-d	ma	la-ka
da'at	sipetey	yada'eta	wbal	kesiyl	le'iys	neged	mi	leke
knowledge	from his speech.	you will gain	no	a foolish	man;		from	Stay away

14-7. Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

מִרְמָֽה	כְּסִילִ֣ים	וְאִוֶּ֖לֶת	דַּרְכֹּ֑ו	הָבִ֣ין	עָ֭רוּם	חָכְמַ֣ת
𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄	𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤅	𐤄􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤏𐤓𐤅𐤌	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤕
ma-ra-ma-ha	ka-sa-yla-ym	wa-aa-wa-la-tha	da-ra-ka-wa	ha-ba-yn	'a-rwm	cha-ka-ma-tha
miremah	kesiyliym	we'iwelet	darekow	habiyn	'arwm	hakemat
deceives them.	of fools	but the folly	his way,	is to discern	of the prudent	The wisdom

14-8. The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

pro 14:9

רָצֹֽון	יְשָׁרִ֣ים	וּבֵ֖ין	אָשָׁ֑ם	יָלִ֣יץ	אֱ֭וִלִים
𐤓𐤑𐤅𐤍	𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤅􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤀𐤔𐤌	𐤉𐤋𐤉𐤑	𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤉𐤌
ra-sa-wn	ya-sha-ra-ym	wba-yn	aa-sha-m	ya-la-ytz	au-wa-la-ym
rasown	yesariym	wbeyn	'asam	yaliys	'ewiliym
but goodwill is found	the upright.	among	the making of amends,	mock	Fools

14-9. Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

זָֽר	יִתְעָ֥רַב	לֹא	וּ֝בְשִׂמְחָתֹ֗ו	נַפְשֹׁ֑ו	מָרַּ֣ת	יֹ֭ודֵעַ	לֵ֗ב

zar	yite'arab	lo'	wbesimehatow	napesow	marat	yowde'a	leb
stranger	shares	and no	in its joy.	its own	bitterness,	knows	The heart

14-10. The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

pro 14:11

יַפְרִֽיחַ	יְשָׁרִ֣ים	וְאֹ֖הֶל	יִשָּׁמֵ֑ד	רְ֭שָׁעִים	בֵּ֣ית

yaperiyha	yesariym	we'ohel	yisamed	resa'iym	beyt
will flourish.	of the upright	but the tent	will be destroyed,	of the wicked	The house

14-11. The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

מָֽוֶת	דַּרְכֵי	וְ֝אַחֲרִיתָ֗הּ	אִ֑ישׁ	לִפְנֵי	יָ֭שָׁר	דֶּ֣רֶךְ	יֵ֤שׁ

mawet	darekey	we'ahariytah	'iys	lipeney	yasar	dereke	yes
of death.	is the way	but its end	a man,	to	that seems right	a way	There is

14-12. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

pro 14:13

תוּגָֽה	שִׂמְחָ֣ה	וְ֝אַחֲרִיתָ֖הּ	לֵ֑ב	יִכְאַב	בִּשְׂחֹ֥וק	גַּם
𐤕𐤅𐤂𐤄	𐤔𐤌𐤇𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤄	𐤋􉀑	𐤉𐤊𐤀􉀑	􉀑𐤔𐤇𐤅𐤒	𐤂𐤌

in sorrow.	and joy	may end	the heart	may ache,	in laughter	Even

14-13. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

pro 14:14

טֹֽוב	אִ֣ישׁ	עָלָ֗יו	וּ֝מֵ	לֵ֑ב	ס֣וּג	יִ֭שְׂבַּע	דְּרָכָ֣יו	מִ
𐤈𐤅􉀑	𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅	𐤅𐤌	𐤋􉀑	𐤎𐤅𐤂	𐤉𐤔􉀑𐤏	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤉𐤅	𐤌
ta-wb	aa-ysha	'a-la-ywa	wma	la-b	swgh	ya-sha-ba-'	da-ra-ka-ywa	ma
towb	'iys	'alayw	wme	leb	swg	yiseba'	derakayw	mi
but a good	man	[will be rewarded] for his.		in heart	The backslider	will have the fill	of his own ways,

14-14. The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

לַאֲשֻׁרֹֽו	יָבִ֥ין	וְ֝עָר֗וּם	דָּבָ֑ר	לְכָל	יַאֲמִ֣ין	פֶּ֭תִי
𐤋𐤀𐤔𐤓𐤅	𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤅𐤏𐤓𐤅𐤌	𐤃􉀑𐤓	𐤋𐤊𐤋	𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤍	𐤐𐤕𐤉
la-aashura-wa	ya-ba-yn	wa-'a-rwm	da-ba-r	la-ka-l	ya-aama-yn	pa-tha-ya
la'asurow	yabiyn	we'arwm	dabar	lekal	ya'amiyn	petiy

14-15. The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

וּבֹוטֵֽחַ	מִתְעַבֵּ֥ר	וּ֝כְסִ֗יל	רָ֑ע	מֵ	וְסָ֣ר	יָ֭רֵא	חָכָ֣ם

wbowteha	mite'aber	wkesiyl	ra'	me	wesar	yare'	hakam
and reckless.	is careless	but a fool	evil,	from	and turns	[man] fears	A wise

14-16. A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

יִשָּׂנֵֽא	מְ֝זִמֹּ֗ות	וְאִ֥ישׁ	אִוֶּ֑לֶת	יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה	אַ֭פַּיִם	קְֽצַר
𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤀	𐤌𐤆𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕	𐤉𐤏𐤔𐤄	𐤀𐤐𐤉𐤌	𐤒𐤑𐤓
ya-sha-na-a	ma-za-ma-wtha	wa-aa-ysha	aa-wa-la-tha	ya-'asha-ha	aa-pa-ya-m	qa-sa-r
yisane'	mezimowt	we'iys	'iwelet	ya'aseh	'apayim	qesar
is hated.	and a devious	man	foolishly,	acts		A quick-tempered man

14-17. He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

pro 14:18

דָֽעַת	יַכְתִּ֥רוּ	וַֽ֝עֲרוּמִ֗ים	אִוֶּ֑לֶת	פְתָאיִ֣ם	נָחֲל֣וּ
𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤉𐤊𐤕𐤓𐤅	𐤅𐤏𐤓𐤅𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕	𐤐𐤕𐤀𐤉𐤌	𐤍𐤇𐤋𐤅
da-'a-tha	ya-ka-tha-rwa	wa-'arwma-ym	aa-wa-la-tha	pa-tha-aya-m	na-chalwa
da'at	yaketirw	wa'arwmiym	'iwelet	peta'yim	nahalw
with knowledge.	are crowned	but the prudent	folly,	The simple	inherit

14-18. The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

צַדִּֽיק	שַׁעֲרֵ֥י	עַֽל	וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים	טֹובִ֑ים	לִפְנֵ֣י	רָ֭עִים	שַׁח֣וּ
𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒	𐤔𐤏𐤓𐤉	𐤏𐤋	𐤅𐤓𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤌	𐤈𐤅􉀑𐤉𐤌	𐤋𐤐𐤍𐤉	𐤓𐤏𐤉𐤌	𐤔𐤇𐤅
sa-da-yqh	sha-'ara-ya	'a-l	wra-sha-'a-ym	ta-wba-ym	la-pa-na-ya	ra-'a-ym	sha-chwa
sadiyq	sa'arey	'al	wresa'iym	towbiym	lipeney	ra'iym	sahw
of the righteous.	the gates	at	and the wicked	the good,	before	The evil	bow

14-19. The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

pro 14:20

רַבִּֽים	עָשִׁ֣יר	וְאֹהֲבֵ֖י	רָ֑שׁ	יִשָּׂ֣נֵא	לְ֭רֵעֵהוּ	גַּם
𐤓􉀑𐤉𐤌	𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤓	𐤅𐤀𐤄􉀑𐤉	𐤓𐤔	𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤀	𐤋𐤓𐤏𐤄𐤅	𐤂𐤌
ra-ba-ym	'a-sha-yr	wa-aa-haba-ya	ra-sha	ya-sha-na-a	la-ra-'a-hwa	ga-m
rabiym	'asiyr	we'ohabey	ras	yisane'	lere'ehw	gam
but many are those	the rich.	who love	The poor [man]	is hated	by his neighbor,	even

14-20. The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

pro 14:21

אַשְׁרָֽיו	עֲנָוִ֣ים	וּמְחֹונֵ֖ן	חֹוטֵ֑א	לְרֵעֵ֥הוּ	בָּז
𐤀𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤅	𐤏𐤍𐤅𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤌𐤇𐤅𐤍𐤍	𐤇𐤅𐤈𐤀	𐤋𐤓𐤏𐤄𐤅	􉀑𐤆
aa-sha-ra-ywa	'ana-wa-ym	wma-cha-wna-n	cha-wta-a	la-ra-'a-hwa	ba-z
'aserayw	'anawiym	wmehownen	howte'	lere'ehw	baz
but blessed is	to the poor.	he who shows kindness	sins,	his neighbor	He who despises

14-21. He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

טֹֽוב	חֹ֣רְשֵׁי	וֶ֝אֱמֶ֗ת	וְחֶ֥סֶד	רָ֑ע	חֹ֣רְשֵׁי	יִ֭תְעוּ	לֹוא	הֲֽ
𐤈𐤅􉀑	𐤇𐤓𐤔𐤉	𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤕	𐤅𐤇𐤎𐤃	𐤓𐤏	𐤇𐤓𐤔𐤉	𐤉𐤕𐤏𐤅	𐤋𐤅𐤀	𐤄

goodness find	But those who plan	and truth.	loving devotion	evil	those who contrive	go astray?	Do not

14-22. Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

לְמַחְסֹֽור	אַךְ	שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם	וּדְבַר	מֹותָ֑ר	יִהְיֶ֣ה	עֶ֭צֶב	בְּכָל
𐤋𐤌𐤇𐤎𐤅𐤓	𐤀𐤊	𐤔𐤐𐤕𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤃􉀑𐤓	𐤌𐤅𐤕𐤓	𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄	𐤏𐤑􉀑	􉀑𐤊𐤋
la-ma-cha-sa-wr	aa-ka	sha-pa-tha-ya-m	wda-ba-r	ma-wtha-r	ya-ha-ya-ha	'a-sa-b	ba-ka-l
lemahesowr	'ake	sepatayim	wdebar	mowtar	yiheyeh	'eseb	bekal
to poverty.	leads only		but mere talk	profit	There is	labor,	in all

14-23. In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

אִוֶּֽלֶת	כְּסִילִ֣ים	אִוֶּ֖לֶת	עָשְׁרָ֑ם	חֲכָמִ֣ים	עֲטֶ֣רֶת

aa-wa-la-tha	ka-sa-yla-ym	aa-wa-la-tha	'a-sha-ra-m	chaka-ma-ym	'ata-ra-tha
'iwelet	kesiyliym	'iwelet	'aseram	hakamiym	'ateret
[is] folly.	of fools	[but] the effort	is their wealth,	of the wise	The crown

14-24. The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

מִרְמָֽה	כְּזָבִ֣ים	וְיָפִ֖חַ	אֱמֶ֑ת	עֵ֣ד	נְ֭פָשֹׁות	מַצִּ֣יל
𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤄	𐤊𐤆􉀑𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤉𐤐𐤇	𐤀𐤌𐤕	𐤏𐤃	𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅𐤕	𐤌𐤑𐤉𐤋
ma-ra-ma-ha	ka-za-ba-ym	wa-ya-pa-cha	au-ma-tha	'a-d	na-pa-sha-wtha	ma-sa-yl
miremah	kezabiym	weyapiha	'emet	'ed	nepasowt	masiyl
is deceitful.	lies	but one who utters	A truthful	witness	lives,	saves

14-25. A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

מַחְסֶֽה	יִהְיֶ֥ה	וּ֝לְבָנָ֗יו	עֹ֑ז	מִבְטַח	יְ֭הוָה	בְּיִרְאַ֣ת
𐤌𐤇𐤎𐤄	𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄	𐤅𐤋􉀑𐤍𐤉𐤅	𐤏𐤆	𐤌􉀑𐤈𐤇	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	􉀑𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤕
ma-cha-sa-ha	ya-ha-ya-ha	wla-ba-na-ywa	'a-z	ma-ba-ta-cha	ya-hwa-ha	ba-ya-ra-aa-tha
maheseh	yiheyeh	wlebanayw	'oz	mibetah	yehwah	beyire'at
a place of refuge.	shall have	and and his children	is secure	in confidence,	the LORD	He who fears

14-26. In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

מָֽוֶת	מֹּ֥קְשֵׁי	מִ	לָ֝ס֗וּר	חַיִּ֑ים	מְקֹ֣ור	יְ֭הוָה	יִרְאַ֣ת

14-27. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

14-28. In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

14-29. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

14-30. A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

אֶבְיֹֽון	חֹנֵ֥ן	וּ֝מְכַבְּדֹ֗ו	עֹשֵׂ֑הוּ	חֵרֵ֣ף	דָּ֭ל	עֹ֣שֵֽׁק

to the needy	but whoever is kind	honors Him.	their Maker,	taunts	the poor	He who oppresses

14-31. He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

צַדִּֽיק	בְמֹותֹ֣ו	וְחֹסֶ֖ה	רָשָׁ֑ע	יִדָּחֶ֣ה	בְּֽ֭רָעָתֹו

sadiyq	bemowtow	wehoseh	rasa'	yidaheh	bera'atow
but the righteous [man]	when he dies.	has a refuge	The wicked [man]	is thrown down	by his own sin,

14-32. The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

תִּוָּדֵֽעַ	כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים	וּבְקֶ֥רֶב	חָכְמָ֑ה	תָּנ֣וּחַ	נָ֭בֹון	בְּלֵ֣ב

tiwade'a	kesiyliym	wbeqereb	hakemah	tanwha	nabown	beleb
she is known.	of fools	even in the hearts	Wisdom	rests	of the discerning;	in the heart

14-33. Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

חַטָּֽאת	לְאֻמִּ֣ים	וְחֶ֖סֶד	גֹּ֑וי	תְרֹֽומֵֽם	צְדָקָ֥ה

but sin	to any people.	is a disgrace	a nation,	exalts	Righteousness

14-34. Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

on the shameful.	falls	but his anger	a wise	servant,	A king	delights in

14-35. The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
