אָזְנֶֽךָ	הַט	לִ֝תְבוּנָתִ֗י	הַקְשִׁ֑יבָה	לְחָכְמָתִ֣י	בְּ֭נִי
𐤀𐤆𐤍𐤊	𐤄𐤈	𐤋𐤕􉀑𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤉	𐤄𐤒𐤔𐤉􉀑𐤄	𐤋𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤕𐤉	􉀑𐤍𐤉
aa-za-na-ka	ha-t	la-tha-bwna-tha-ya	ha-qa-sha-yba-ha	la-cha-ka-ma-tha-ya	ba-na-ya
'azeneka	hat	litebwnatiy	haqesiybah	lehakematiy	beniy
your ear	incline	to my understanding,	pay attention	to my wisdom;	My son,

5-1. My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:

pro 5:2

יִנְצֹֽרוּ	שְׂפָתֶ֥יךָ	וְ֝דַ֗עַת	מְזִמֹּ֑ות	לִשְׁמֹ֥ר
𐤉𐤍𐤑𐤓𐤅	𐤔𐤐𐤕𐤉𐤊	𐤅𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤌𐤆𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤋𐤔𐤌𐤓
ya-na-sa-rwa	sha-pa-tha-yka	wa-da-'a-tha	ma-za-ma-wtha	la-sha-ma-r
yinesorw	sepateyka	weda'at	mezimowt	lisemor
may preserve	and your lips	knowledge.	discretion	that you may maintain

5-2. That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.

pro 5:3

חִכָּֽהּ	שֶּׁ֣מֶן	מִ	וְחָלָ֖ק	זָרָ֑ה	שִׂפְתֵ֣י	תִּ֭טֹּפְנָה	כִּ֤ינֹ֣פֶת
𐤇𐤊𐤄	𐤔𐤌𐤍	𐤌	𐤅𐤇𐤋𐤒	𐤆𐤓𐤄	𐤔𐤐𐤕𐤉	𐤕𐤈𐤐𐤍𐤄	𐤊𐤉𐤍𐤐𐤕
cha-ka-ha	sha-ma-n	ma	wa-cha-la-qh	za-ra-ha	sha-pa-tha-ya	tha-ta-pa-na-ha	ka-yna-pa-tha
hikah	semen	mi	wehalaq	zarah	sipetey	titopenah	kiynopet
and her speech	than oil,		[is] smoother	of the forbidden woman	the lips	drip	Though honey

5-3. For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

pro 5:4

פִּיֹּֽות	חֶ֣רֶב	כְּ	חַ֝דָּ֗ה	לַּעֲנָ֑ה	כַֽ	מָרָ֣ה	וְֽ֭אַחֲרִיתָהּ
𐤐𐤉𐤅𐤕	𐤇𐤓􉀑	𐤊	𐤇𐤃𐤄	𐤋𐤏𐤍𐤄	𐤊	𐤌𐤓𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤄
pa-ya-wtha	cha-ra-b	ka	cha-da-ha	la-'ana-ha	ka	ma-ra-ha	wa-aa-chara-ytha-ha
piyowt	hereb	ke	hadah	la'anah	ka	marah	we'ahariytah
as a double-edged	sword.		sharp	as wormwood,		is bitter	her end

5-4. But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

pro 5:5

יִתְמֹֽכוּ	צְעָדֶ֥יהָ	שְׁ֝אֹ֗ול	מָ֑וֶת	יֹרְדֹ֣ות	רַ֭גְלֶיהָ
𐤉𐤕𐤌𐤊𐤅	𐤑𐤏𐤃𐤉𐤄	𐤔𐤀𐤅𐤋	𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤉𐤓𐤃𐤅𐤕	𐤓𐤂𐤋𐤉𐤄
ya-tha-ma-kwa	sa-'a-da-yha	sha-aa-wl	ma-wa-tha	ya-ra-da-wtha	ra-ga-la-yha
yitemokw	se'adeyha	se'owl	mawet	yoredowt	rageleyha
lead straight	her steps	to Sheol.	to death;	go down	Her feet

5-5. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

pro 5:6

תֵדָֽע	לֹ֣א	מַ֝עְגְּלֹתֶ֗יהָ	נָע֥וּ	פֶּןתְּפַלֵּ֑ס	חַ֭יִּים	אֹ֣רַח
𐤕𐤃𐤏	𐤋𐤀	𐤌𐤏𐤂𐤋𐤕𐤉𐤄	𐤍𐤏𐤅	𐤐𐤍𐤕𐤐𐤋𐤎	𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌	𐤀𐤓𐤇
tha-da-'	la-a	ma-'a-ga-la-tha-yha	na-'wa	pa-ntha-pa-la-sh	cha-ya-ym	aa-ra-cha
teda'	lo'	ma'egeloteyha	na'w	pentepales	hayiym	'orah
know that	she does not	her ways	are unstable.	She does not consider	of life;	the path

5-6. Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.

פִֽי	אִמְרֵי	מֵ	תָּ֝ס֗וּרוּ	לִ֑יוְאַל	שִׁמְעוּ	בָ֭נִים	וְעַתָּ֣ה
𐤐𐤉	𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤉	𐤌	𐤕𐤎𐤅𐤓𐤅	𐤋𐤉𐤅𐤀𐤋	𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅	􉀑𐤍𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤏𐤕𐤄
pa-ya	aa-ma-ra-ya	ma	tha-swrwa	la-ywa-aa-l	sha-ma-'wa	ba-na-ym	wa-'a-tha-ha
piy	'imerey	me	taswrw	liywe'al	sime'w	baniym	we'atah
of my mouth.	the words	from	turn aside	and do not	listen to me,	my sons,	So now,

5-7. Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.

pro 5:8

בֵּיתָֽהּ	אֶלפֶּ֥תַח	תִּ֝קְרַ֗ב	וְאַל	דַרְכֶּ֑ךָ	עָלֶ֣יהָ	מֵ	הַרְחֵ֣ק
􉀑𐤉𐤕𐤄	𐤀𐤋𐤐𐤕𐤇	𐤕𐤒𐤓􉀑	𐤅𐤀𐤋	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤊	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤄	𐤌	𐤄𐤓𐤇𐤒
ba-ytha-ha	aa-lpa-tha-cha	tha-qa-ra-b	wa-aa-l	da-ra-ka-ka	'a-la-yha	ma	ha-ra-cha-qh
beytah	'elpetah	tiqerab	we'al	darekeka	'aleyha	me	hareheq
of her house,	the door	go near	do not	Keep your path	her;	from	far

5-8. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:

לְאַכְזָרִֽי	וּ֝שְׁנֹתֶ֗יךָ	הֹודֶ֑ךָ	לַאֲחֵרִ֣ים	פֶּןתִּתֵּ֣ן
𐤋𐤀𐤊𐤆𐤓𐤉	𐤅𐤔𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤊	𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤊	𐤋𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤐𐤍𐤕𐤕𐤍
la-aa-ka-za-ra-ya	wsha-na-tha-yka	ha-wda-ka	la-aacha-ra-ym	pa-ntha-tha-n
le'akezariy	wsenoteyka	howdeka	la'aheriym	pentiten
to one who is cruel,	and your years	your vigor	to others,	lest you concede

5-9. Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

pro 5:10

נָכְרִֽי	בְּבֵ֣ית	וַ֝עֲצָבֶ֗יךָ	כֹּחֶ֑ךָ	זָרִ֣ים	פֶּֽןיִשְׂבְּע֣וּ
𐤍𐤊𐤓𐤉	􉀑􉀑𐤉𐤕	𐤅𐤏𐤑􉀑𐤉𐤊	𐤊𐤇𐤊	𐤆𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤔􉀑𐤏𐤅
na-ka-ra-ya	ba-ba-ytha	wa-'asa-ba-yka	ka-cha-ka	za-ra-ym	pa-nya-sha-ba-'wa
nakeriy	bebeyt	wa'asabeyka	koheka	zariym	penyisebe'w
of a foreigner.	[enrich] the house	and your labors	on your wealth,	strangers	lest feast

5-10. Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;

pro 5:11

וּשְׁאֵרֶֽךָ	בְּ֝שָׂרְךָ֗	בִּכְלֹ֥ות	בְאַחֲרִיתֶ֑ךָ	וְנָהַמְתָּ֥
𐤅𐤔𐤀𐤓𐤊	􉀑𐤔𐤓𐤊	􉀑𐤊𐤋𐤅𐤕	􉀑𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤊	𐤅𐤍𐤄𐤌𐤕
wsha-aa-ra-ka	ba-sha-ra-ka	ba-ka-la-wtha	ba-aa-chara-ytha-ka	wa-na-ha-ma-tha
wse'ereka	besareka	bikelowt	be'ahariyteka	wenahameta
and your body	when your flesh	are spent,	At the end of your life	you will groan

5-11. And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,

pro 5:12

לִבִּֽי	נָאַ֥ץ	וְ֝תֹוכַ֗חַת	מוּסָ֑ר	שָׂנֵ֣אתִי	אֵ֭יךְ	וְֽאָמַרְתָּ֗
𐤋􉀑𐤉	𐤍𐤀𐤑	𐤅𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇𐤕	𐤌𐤅𐤎𐤓	𐤔𐤍𐤀𐤕𐤉	𐤀𐤉𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕
la-ba-ya	na-aa-tz	wa-tha-wka-cha-tha	mwsa-r	sha-na-atha-ya	aa-yka	wa-aa-ma-ra-tha
libiy	na'as	wetowkahat	mwsar	sane'tiy	'eyke	we'amareta
and my heart	despised	reproof!	discipline,	I hated	“How	and you will say,

5-12. And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

pro 5:13

אָזְנִֽי	הִטִּ֥יתִי	לֹא	וְ֝לִֽמְלַמְּדַ֗י	מֹורָ֑י	בְּקֹ֣ול	שָׁ֭מַעְתִּי	וְֽלֹא
𐤀𐤆𐤍𐤉	𐤄𐤈𐤉𐤕𐤉	𐤋𐤀	𐤅𐤋𐤌𐤋𐤌𐤃𐤉	𐤌𐤅𐤓𐤉	􉀑𐤒𐤅𐤋	𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤕𐤉	𐤅𐤋𐤀
aa-za-na-ya	ha-ta-ytha-ya	la-a	wa-la-ma-la-ma-da-ya	ma-wra-ya	ba-qa-wl	sha-ma-'a-tha-ya	wa-la-a
'azeniy	hitiytiy	lo'	welimelameday	mowray	beqowl	sama'etiy	welo'
my ear	incline	[or]	to my mentors.	of my teachers	to the voice	listen	I did not

5-13. And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

pro 5:14

וְעֵדָֽה	קָהָ֣ל	בְּתֹ֖וךְ	רָ֑ע	בְכָל	הָיִ֣יתִי	מְעַט	כִּ֭
𐤅𐤏𐤃𐤄	𐤒𐤄𐤋	􉀑𐤕𐤅𐤊	𐤓𐤏	􉀑𐤊𐤋	𐤄𐤉𐤉𐤕𐤉	𐤌𐤏𐤈	𐤊
wa-'a-da-ha	qa-ha-l	ba-tha-wka	ra-'	ba-ka-l	ha-ya-ytha-ya	ma-'a-t	ka
we'edah	qahal	betowke	ra'	bekal	hayiytiy	me'at	ki
	of the whole assembly.”	in the midst	ruin	of utter	I am	on the brink

5-14. I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

pro 5:15

בְּאֵרֶֽךָ	תֹּ֥וךְ	מִ	וְ֝נֹזְלִ֗ים	בֹּורֶ֑ךָ	מִ	מַ֥יִם	שְׁתֵה
􉀑𐤀𐤓𐤊	𐤕𐤅𐤊	𐤌	𐤅𐤍𐤆𐤋𐤉𐤌	􉀑𐤅𐤓𐤊	𐤌	𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤔𐤕𐤄
ba-aa-ra-ka	tha-wka	ma	wa-na-za-la-ym	ba-wra-ka	ma	ma-ya-m	sha-tha-ha
be'ereka	towke	mi	wenozeliym	bowreka	mi	mayim	seteh
your own well.	out of		and running water	your own cistern,	from	water	Drink

5-15. Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

pro 5:16

מָֽיִם	פַּלְגֵי	בָּ֝רְחֹבֹ֗ות	ח֑וּצָה	מַעְיְנֹתֶ֣יךָ	יָפ֣וּצוּ
𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤐𐤋𐤂𐤉	􉀑𐤓𐤇􉀑𐤅𐤕	𐤇𐤅𐤑𐤄	𐤌𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤕𐤉𐤊	𐤉𐤐𐤅𐤑𐤅
ma-ya-m	pa-la-ga-ya	ba-ra-cha-ba-wtha	chwsa-ha	ma-'a-ya-na-tha-yka	ya-pwswa
mayim	palegey	barehobowt	hwsah	ma'eyenoteyka	yapwsw
of water	your streams	in the public squares?	in the streets,	Why should your springs	flow

5-16. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.

pro 5:17

אִתָּֽךְ	לְזָרִ֣ים	וְאֵ֖ין	לְךָ֥לְבַדֶּ֑ךָ	יִֽהְיוּ
𐤀𐤕𐤊	𐤋𐤆𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤋𐤊𐤋􉀑𐤃𐤊	𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤅
aa-tha-ka	la-za-ra-ym	wa-aa-yn	la-ka-la-ba-da-ka	ya-ha-ywa
'itake	lezariym	we'eyn	lekalebadeka	yiheyw
to be shared	with strangers.	never	yours yours alone,	Let them be

5-17. Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.

pro 5:18

נְעוּרֶֽךָ	אֵ֥שֶׁת	מֵ	וּ֝שְׂמַ֗ח	בָר֑וּךְ	מְקֹורְךָ֥	יְהִֽי
𐤍𐤏𐤅𐤓𐤊	𐤀𐤔𐤕	𐤌	𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤇	􉀑𐤓𐤅𐤊	𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤓𐤊	𐤉𐤄𐤉
na-'wra-ka	aa-sha-tha	ma	wsha-ma-cha	ba-rwka	ma-qa-wra-ka	ya-ha-ya
ne'wreka	'eset	me	wsemah	barwke	meqowreka	yehiy
of your youth:	in the wife		and may you rejoice	blessed,	May your fountain	be

5-18. Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.

תִּשְׁגֶּ֥ה

בְּ֝אַהֲבָתָ֗הּ

עֵ֑ת

בְכָל

יְרַוֻּ֣ךָ

דַּ֭דֶּיהָ

חֵ֥ן

וְֽיַעֲלַ֫ת

אֲהָבִ֗ים

אַיֶּ֥לֶת

5-19. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.

pro 5:20

נָכְרִיָּֽה	חֵ֣ק	וּ֝תְחַבֵּ֗ק	בְזָרָ֑ה	בְנִ֣י	תִשְׁגֶּ֣ה	וְלָ֤מָּה
𐤍𐤊𐤓𐤉𐤄	𐤇𐤒	𐤅𐤕𐤇􉀑𐤒	􉀑𐤆𐤓𐤄	􉀑𐤍𐤉	𐤕𐤔𐤂𐤄	𐤅𐤋𐤌𐤄
na-ka-ra-ya-ha	cha-qh	wtha-cha-ba-qh	ba-za-ra-ha	ba-na-ya	tha-sha-ga-ha	wa-la-ma-ha
nakeriyah	heq	wtehabeq	bezarah	beniy	tisegeh	welamah
of a stranger?	the bosom	or embrace	by an adulteress,	my son,	be captivated,	Why

5-20. And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?

pro 5:21

מְפַלֵּֽס	מַעְגְּלֹתָ֥יו	וְֽכָל	אִ֑ישׁ	דַּרְכֵי	יְ֭הוָה	עֵינֵ֣י	כִּ֤ינֹ֨כַח
𐤌𐤐𐤋𐤎	𐤌𐤏𐤂𐤋𐤕𐤉𐤅	𐤅𐤊𐤋	𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤉	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉	𐤊𐤉𐤍𐤊𐤇
ma-pa-la-sh	ma-'a-ga-la-tha-ywa	wa-ka-l	aa-ysha	da-ra-ka-ya	ya-hwa-ha	'a-yna-ya	ka-yna-ka-cha
mepales	ma'egelotayw	wekal	'iys	darekey	yehwah	'eyney	kiynokah
and [the Lord] watches	his paths.	all	a man’s	ways	of the LORD,	the eyes	For are before

5-21. For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.

pro 5:22

יִתָּמֵֽךְ	חַ֝טָּאתֹ֗ו	וּבְחַבְלֵ֥י	הָרָשָׁ֑ע	אֶת	יִלְכְּדֻנֹ֥ו	עַֽוֹונֹותָ֗יו
𐤉𐤕𐤌𐤊	𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤕𐤅	𐤅􉀑𐤇􉀑𐤋𐤉	𐤄𐤓𐤔𐤏	𐤀𐤕	𐤉𐤋𐤊𐤃𐤍𐤅	𐤏𐤅𐤅𐤍𐤅𐤕𐤉𐤅
ya-tha-ma-ka	cha-ta-atha-wa	wba-cha-ba-la-ya	ha-ra-sha-'	aa-tha	ya-la-ka-duna-wa	'a-wa-wna-wtha-ywa
yitameke	hata'tow	wbehabeley	harasa'	'et	yilekedunow	'awownowtayw
the cords	of his own sin	entangle him.	of a wicked man		entrap him;	The iniquities

5-22. His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

pro 5:23

יִשְׁגֶּֽה	אִוַּלְתֹּ֣ו	וּבְרֹ֖ב	מוּסָ֑ר	בְּאֵ֣ין	יָ֭מוּת	ה֗וּא
𐤉𐤔𐤂𐤄	𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕𐤅	𐤅􉀑𐤓􉀑	𐤌𐤅𐤎𐤓	􉀑𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤉𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤄𐤅𐤀
ya-sha-ga-ha	aa-wa-la-tha-wa	wba-ra-b	mwsa-r	ba-aa-yn	ya-mwtha	hwa
yisegeh	'iwaletow	wberob	mwsar	be'eyn	yamwt	hw'
led astray	folly.	by his own great	of discipline,	for lack	will die	He

5-23. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
