pro 9:1

שִׁבְעָֽה	עַמּוּדֶ֣יהָ	חָצְבָ֖ה	בֵיתָ֑הּ	בָּנְתָ֣ה	חָ֭כְמֹות
𐤔􉀑𐤏𐤄	𐤏𐤌𐤅𐤃𐤉𐤄	𐤇𐤑􉀑𐤄	􉀑𐤉𐤕𐤄	􉀑𐤍𐤕𐤄	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤅𐤕
sha-ba-'a-ha	'a-mwda-yha	cha-sa-ba-ha	ba-ytha-ha	ba-na-tha-ha	cha-ka-ma-wtha
sibe'ah	'amwdeyha	hasebah	beytah	banetah	hakemowt
her seven	pillars.	she has carved out	her house;	has built	Wisdom

9-1. Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

pro 9:2

שֻׁלְחָנָֽהּ	עָֽרְכָ֥ה	אַ֝֗ף	יֵינָ֑הּ	מָסְכָ֣ה	טִ֭בְחָהּ	טָבְחָ֣ה
𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤍𐤄	𐤏𐤓𐤊𐤄	𐤀𐤐	𐤉𐤉𐤍𐤄	𐤌𐤎𐤊𐤄	𐤈􉀑𐤇𐤄	𐤈􉀑𐤇𐤄
shula-cha-na-ha	'a-ra-ka-ha	aa-ph	ya-yna-ha	ma-sa-ka-ha	ta-ba-cha-ha	ta-ba-cha-ha
sulehanah	'arekah	'ap	yeynah	masekah	tibehah	tabehah
her table.	set	she has also	her wine;	she has mixed	her meat;	She has prepared

9-2. She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.

pro 9:3

קָֽרֶת	מְרֹ֣מֵי	גַּ֝פֵּ֗י	עַל	תִקְרָ֑א	נַעֲרֹתֶ֣יהָ	שָֽׁלְחָ֣ה
𐤒𐤓𐤕	𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤉	𐤂𐤐𐤉	𐤏𐤋	𐤕𐤒𐤓𐤀	𐤍𐤏𐤓𐤕𐤉𐤄	𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤄
qa-ra-tha	ma-ra-ma-ya	ga-pa-ya	'a-l	tha-qa-ra-a	na-'ara-tha-yha	sha-la-cha-ha
qaret	meromey	gapey	'al	tiqera'	na'aroteyha	salehah
of the city:	the heights		from	she calls out	her maidservants;	She has sent out

9-3. She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

pro 9:4

אָ֣מְרָה	לֵ֝֗ב	חֲסַר	הֵ֑נָּה	יָסֻ֣ר	פֶ֭תִי	מִי
𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤄	𐤋􉀑	𐤇𐤎𐤓	𐤄𐤍𐤄	𐤉𐤎𐤓	𐤐𐤕𐤉	𐤌𐤉
aa-ma-ra-ha	la-b	chasa-r	ha-na-ha	ya-sur	pa-tha-ya	ma-ya
'amerah	leb	hasar	henah	yasur	petiy	miy
she says:	judgment	To him who lacks	here!”	let him turn in	[is] simple,	“Whoever

9-4. Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

pro 9:5

מָסָֽכְתִּי	בְּיַ֣יִן	וּ֝שְׁת֗וּ	בְֽלַחֲמִ֑י	לַחֲמ֣וּ	לֹּֽולְ֭כוּ
𐤌𐤎𐤊𐤕𐤉	􉀑𐤉𐤉𐤍	𐤅𐤔𐤕𐤅	􉀑𐤋𐤇𐤌𐤉	𐤋𐤇𐤌𐤅	𐤋𐤅𐤋𐤊𐤅
ma-sa-ka-tha-ya	ba-ya-ya-n	wsha-thwa	ba-la-chama-ya	la-chamwa	la-wla-kwa
masaketiy	beyayin	wsetw	belahamiy	lahamw	lowlekw
I have mixed.	the wine	and drink	my bread,	eat	“Come,

9-5. Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

pro 9:6

בִּינָֽה	בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ	וְ֝אִשְׁר֗וּ	וִֽחְי֑וּ	פְתָאיִ֣ם	עִזְב֣וּ
􉀑𐤉𐤍𐤄	􉀑𐤃𐤓𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤔𐤓𐤅	𐤅𐤇𐤉𐤅	𐤐𐤕𐤀𐤉𐤌	𐤏𐤆􉀑𐤅
ba-yna-ha	ba-da-ra-ka	wa-aa-sha-rwa	wa-cha-ywa	pa-tha-aya-m	'a-za-bwa
biynah	bedereke	we'iserw	wiheyw	peta'yim	'izebw
of understanding.”	in the way	walk	and you will live;	Leave your folly	behind,

9-6. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

pro 9:7

מוּמֹֽו	לְרָשָׁ֣ע	וּמֹוכִ֖יחַ	לֹ֣וקָלֹ֑ון	לֹקֵ֣חַֽ	לֵ֗ץ	יֹ֤סֵ֨ר
𐤌𐤅𐤌𐤅	𐤋𐤓𐤔𐤏	𐤅𐤌𐤅𐤊𐤉𐤇	𐤋𐤅𐤒𐤋𐤅𐤍	𐤋𐤒𐤇	𐤋𐤑	𐤉𐤎𐤓
mwma-wa	la-ra-sha-'	wma-wka-ycha	la-wqa-la-wn	la-qa-cha	la-tz	ya-sa-r
mwmow	lerasa'	wmowkiyha	lowqalown	loqeha	les	yoser
will be tainted.	a wicked man	he who rebukes	shame on himself;	will bring	a mocker	He who corrects

9-7. He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.

pro 9:8

וְיֶאֱהָבֶֽךָּ	לְ֝חָכָ֗ם	הֹוכַ֥ח	פֶּןיִשְׂנָאֶ֑ךָּ	לֵ֭ץ	תֹּ֣וכַח	אַל
𐤅𐤉𐤀𐤄􉀑𐤊	𐤋𐤇𐤊𐤌	𐤄𐤅𐤊𐤇	𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤔𐤍𐤀𐤊	𐤋𐤑	𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇	𐤀𐤋
wa-ya-au-ha-ba-ka	la-cha-ka-m	ha-wka-cha	pa-nya-sha-na-aa-ka	la-tz	tha-wka-cha	aa-l
weye'ehabeka	lehakam	howkah	penyisena'eka	les	towkah	'al
and he will love you.	a wise man,	rebuke	or he will hate you;	a mocker	rebuke	Do not

9-8. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

pro 9:9

לֶֽקַח	וְיֹ֣וסֶף	לְ֝צַדִּ֗יק	הֹודַ֥ע	עֹ֑וד	וְיֶחְכַּם	לְ֭חָכָם	תֵּ֣ן
𐤋𐤒𐤇	𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤐	𐤋𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒	𐤄𐤅𐤃𐤏	𐤏𐤅𐤃	𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤊𐤌	𐤋𐤇𐤊𐤌	𐤕𐤍
la-qa-cha	wa-ya-wsa-ph	la-sa-da-yqh	ha-wda-'	'a-wd	wa-ya-cha-ka-m	la-cha-ka-m	tha-n
leqah	weyowsep	lesadiyq	howda'	'owd	weyehekam	lehakam	ten
[his] learning.	and he will increase	a righteous man,	teach	still;	and he will be wiser	a wise man,	Instruct

9-9. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

pro 9:10

בִּינָֽה	קְדֹשִׁ֣ים	וְדַ֖עַת	יְהוָ֑ה	יִרְאַ֣ת	חָ֭כְמָה	תְּחִלַּ֣ת
􉀑𐤉𐤍𐤄	𐤒𐤃𐤔𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤕	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄	𐤕𐤇𐤋𐤕
ba-yna-ha	qa-da-sha-ym	wa-da-'a-tha	ya-hwa-ha	ya-ra-aa-tha	cha-ka-ma-ha	tha-cha-la-tha
biynah	qedosiym	weda'at	yehwah	yire'at	hakemah	tehilat
is understanding.	of the Holy One	and knowledge	of the LORD	The fear	of wisdom,	is the beginning

9-10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

pro 9:11

חַיִּֽים	לְּ֝ךָ֗שְׁנֹ֣ות	וְיֹוסִ֥יפוּ	יָמֶ֑יךָ	כִּיבִ֭ייִרְבּ֣וּ
𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌	𐤋𐤊𐤔𐤍𐤅𐤕	𐤅𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤉𐤐𐤅	𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤊	𐤊𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤉𐤓􉀑𐤅
cha-ya-ym	la-ka-sha-na-wtha	wa-ya-wsa-ypwa	ya-ma-yka	ka-yba-yya-ra-bwa
hayiym	lekasenowt	weyowsiypw	yameyka	kiybiyyirebw
to your life.	and years	will be added	your days	For through [wisdom] will be multiplied,

9-11. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

pro 9:12

תִשָּֽׂא	לְֽבַדְּךָ֥	לָּ֑ךְוְ֝לַ֗צְתָּ	חָכַ֣מְתָּ	אִםחָ֭כַמְתָּ
𐤕𐤔𐤀	𐤋􉀑𐤃𐤊	𐤋𐤊𐤅𐤋𐤑𐤕	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤕	𐤀𐤌𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤕
tha-sha-a	la-ba-da-ka	la-ka-wa-la-sa-tha	cha-ka-ma-tha	aa-mcha-ka-ma-tha
tisa'	lebadeka	lakewelaseta	hakameta	'imhakameta
will bear [the consequences].	you alone	to your own advantage; to your own advantage; but if you scoff,	you are wise	If you are wise,

9-12. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

pro 9:13

מָּֽה	יָ֥דְעָה	וּבַל	פְּ֝תַיּ֗וּת	הֹֽמִיָּ֑ה	כְּ֭סִילוּת	אֵ֣שֶׁת
𐤌𐤄	𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤄	𐤅􉀑𐤋	𐤐𐤕𐤉𐤅𐤕	𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤄	𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋𐤅𐤕	𐤀𐤔𐤕
ma-ha	ya-da-'a-ha	wba-l	pa-tha-ywtha	ha-ma-ya-ha	ka-sa-ylwtha	aa-sha-tha
mah	yade'ah	wbal	petaywt	homiyah	kesiylwt	'eset
	and knows	nothing.	[she is] naive	is loud;	named Folly	The woman

9-13. A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

pro 9:14

קָֽרֶת	מְרֹ֣מֵי	כִּ֝סֵּ֗א	עַל	בֵּיתָ֑הּ	לְפֶ֣תַח	וְֽ֭יָשְׁבָה
𐤒𐤓𐤕	𐤌𐤓𐤌𐤉	𐤊𐤎𐤀	𐤏𐤋	􉀑𐤉𐤕𐤄	𐤋𐤐𐤕𐤇	𐤅𐤉𐤔􉀑𐤄
qa-ra-tha	ma-ra-ma-ya	ka-sa-a	'a-l	ba-ytha-ha	la-pa-tha-cha	wa-ya-sha-ba-ha
qaret	meromey	kise'	'al	beytah	lepetah	weyasebah
of the city,	in the heights	a seat	on	of her house,	at the door	She sits

9-14. For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

pro 9:15

אֹֽרְחֹותָֽם	הַֽ֝מְיַשְּׁרִ֗ים	דָ֑רֶךְ	לְעֹֽבְרֵי	לִקְרֹ֥א
𐤀𐤓𐤇𐤅𐤕𐤌	𐤄𐤌𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤃𐤓𐤊	𐤋𐤏􉀑𐤓𐤉	𐤋𐤒𐤓𐤀
aa-ra-cha-wtha-m	ha-ma-ya-sha-ra-ym	da-ra-ka	la-'a-ba-ra-ya	la-qa-ra-a
'orehowtam	hameyaseriym	dareke	le'oberey	liqero'
their paths {straight}:	who make		to those who pass by,	calling

9-15. To call passengers who go right on their ways:

pro 9:16

וְאָ֣מְרָה	לֵ֝֗ב	וַחֲסַר	הֵ֑נָּה	יָסֻ֣ר	פֶ֭תִי	מִי
𐤅𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤄	𐤋􉀑	𐤅𐤇𐤎𐤓	𐤄𐤍𐤄	𐤉𐤎𐤓	𐤐𐤕𐤉	𐤌𐤉
wa-aa-ma-ra-ha	la-b	wa-chasa-r	ha-na-ha	ya-sur	pa-tha-ya	ma-ya
we'amerah	leb	wahasar	henah	yasur	petiy	miy

יִנְעָֽם	סְתָרִ֣ים	וְלֶ֖חֶם	יִמְתָּ֑קוּ	גְּנוּבִ֥ים	לֹּֽומַֽיִם
𐤉𐤍𐤏𐤌	𐤎𐤕𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤋𐤇𐤌	𐤉𐤌𐤕𐤒𐤅	𐤂𐤍𐤅􉀑𐤉𐤌	𐤋𐤅𐤌𐤉𐤌
ya-na-'a-m	sa-tha-ra-ym	wa-la-cha-m	ya-ma-tha-qwa	ga-nwba-ym	la-wma-ya-m
yine'am	setariym	welehem	yimetaqw	genwbiym	lowmayim
is tasty!”	[eaten] in secret	and bread	is sweet,	“Stolen	water

9-17. Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

pro 9:18

קְרֻאֶֽיהָ	שְׁאֹ֣ול	בְּעִמְקֵ֖י	שָׁ֑ם	כִּֽירְפָאִ֣ים	יָ֭דַע	וְֽלֹא
𐤒𐤓𐤀𐤉𐤄	𐤔𐤀𐤅𐤋	􉀑𐤏𐤌𐤒𐤉	𐤔𐤌	𐤊𐤉𐤓𐤐𐤀𐤉𐤌	𐤉𐤃𐤏	𐤅𐤋𐤀
qa-ruaa-yha	sha-aa-wl	ba-'a-ma-qa-ya	sha-m	ka-yra-pa-aa-ym	ya-da-'	wa-la-a
qeru'eyha	se'owl	be'imeqey	sam	kiyrepa'iym	yada'	welo'
that her guests	of Sheol.	[are] in the depths	are there,	that the dead	know	But they do not

9-18. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
