מַרְפֵּֽא	וְאֵ֣ין	יִ֝שָּׁבֵ֗ר	פֶּ֥תַע	עֹ֑רֶף	מַקְשֶׁה	תֹּ֭וכָחֹות	אִ֣ישׁ
𐤌𐤓𐤐𐤀	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤉𐤔􉀑𐤓	𐤐𐤕𐤏	𐤏𐤓𐤐	𐤌𐤒𐤔𐤄	𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇𐤅𐤕	𐤀𐤉𐤔
ma-ra-pa-a	wa-aa-yn	ya-sha-ba-r	pa-tha-'	'a-ra-ph	ma-qa-sha-ha	tha-wka-cha-wtha	aa-ysha
marepe'	we'eyn	yisaber	peta'	'orep	maqeseh	towkahowt	'iys
beyond recovery.		be shattered	will suddenly		remains stiff-necked	after much reproof	A man who

29-1. He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

עָֽם	יֵאָ֥נַֽח	רָ֝שָׁ֗ע	וּבִמְשֹׁ֥ל	הָעָ֑ם	יִשְׂמַ֣ח	צַ֭דִּיקִים	בִּרְבֹ֣ות

'a-m	ya-aa-na-cha	ra-sha-'	wba-ma-sha-l	ha-'a-m	ya-sha-ma-cha	sa-da-yqa-ym	ba-ra-ba-wtha
'am	ye'anah	rasa'	wbimesol	ha'am	yisemah	sadiyqiym	birebowt
the people	groan.	but when the wicked	rule,	the people	rejoice,	When the righteous	flourish,

29-2. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

הֹֽון	יְאַבֶּד	זֹ֝ונֹ֗ות	וְרֹעֶ֥ה	אָבִ֑יו	יְשַׂמַּ֣ח	חָ֭כְמָה	אֹהֵ֣ב	אִֽישׁ
𐤄𐤅𐤍	𐤉𐤀􉀑𐤃	𐤆𐤅𐤍𐤅𐤕	𐤅𐤓𐤏𐤄	𐤀􉀑𐤉𐤅	𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤇	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄	𐤀𐤄􉀑	𐤀𐤉𐤔
ha-wn	ya-aa-ba-d	za-wna-wtha	wa-ra-'a-ha	aa-ba-ywa	ya-sha-ma-cha	cha-ka-ma-ha	aa-ha-b	aa-ysha
hown	ye'abed	zownowt	wero'eh	'abiyw	yesamah	hakemah	'oheb	'iys
his wealth.	squanders	of prostitutes	but a companion	to his father,	brings joy	wisdom	who loves	A man

29-3. Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

pro 29:4

יֶֽהֶרְסֶֽנָּה	תְּרוּמֹ֣ות	וְאִ֖ישׁ	אָ֑רֶץ	יַעֲמִ֣יד	בְּ֭מִשְׁפָּט	מֶ֗לֶךְ
𐤉𐤄𐤓𐤎𐤍𐤄	𐤕𐤓𐤅𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤀𐤓𐤑	𐤉𐤏𐤌𐤉𐤃	􉀑𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈	𐤌𐤋𐤊
ya-ha-ra-sa-na-ha	tha-rwma-wtha	wa-aa-ysha	aa-ra-tz	ya-'ama-yd	ba-ma-sha-pa-t	ma-la-ka
yeheresenah	terwmowt	we'iys	'ares	ya'amiyd	bemisepat	meleke
demolishes it.	who exacts tribute	but a man	to the land,	gives stability	By justice	a king

29-4. The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

pro 29:5

פְּעָמָֽיו	עַל	פֹּורֵ֥שׂ	רֶ֝֗שֶׁת	רֵעֵ֑הוּ	עַל	מַחֲלִ֣יק	גֶּ֭בֶר
𐤐𐤏𐤌𐤉𐤅	𐤏𐤋	𐤐𐤅𐤓𐤔	𐤓𐤔𐤕	𐤓𐤏𐤄𐤅	𐤏𐤋	𐤌𐤇𐤋𐤉𐤒	𐤂􉀑𐤓
pa-'a-ma-ywa	'a-l	pa-wra-sha	ra-sha-tha	ra-'a-hwa	'a-l	ma-chala-yqh	ga-ba-r
pe'amayw	'al	powres	reset	re'ehw	'al	mahaliyq	geber
his feet.		spreads	a net	his neighbor	for	who flatters	A man

29-5. A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

pro 29:6

וְשָׂמֵֽחַ	יָר֥וּן	וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק	מֹוקֵ֑שׁ	רָ֣ע	אִ֣ישׁ	בְּפֶ֤שַֽׁע
𐤅𐤔𐤌𐤇	𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤍	𐤅𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒	𐤌𐤅𐤒𐤔	𐤓𐤏	𐤀𐤉𐤔	􉀑𐤐𐤔𐤏
wa-sha-ma-cha	ya-rwn	wa-sa-da-yqh	ma-wqa-sha	ra-'	aa-ysha	ba-pa-sha-'
wesameha	yarwn	wesadiyq	mowqes	ra'	'iys	bepesa'
and rejoices.	sings	but a righteous one	is caught	An evil	man	by his own sin,

29-6. In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

pro 29:7

דָּֽעַת	יָבִ֥ין	לֹא	רָ֝שָׁ֗ע	דַּלִּ֑ים	דִּ֣ין	צַ֭דִּיק	יֹדֵ֣עַ
𐤃𐤏𐤕	𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤋𐤀	𐤓𐤔𐤏	𐤃𐤋𐤉𐤌	𐤃𐤉𐤍	𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒	𐤉𐤃𐤏
da-'a-tha	ya-ba-yn	la-a	ra-sha-'	da-la-ym	da-yn	sa-da-yqh	ya-da-'a
da'at	yabiyn	lo'	rasa'	daliym	diyn	sadiyq	yode'a
for such concerns.	regard	have no	but the wicked	of the poor,	the cause	The righteous	consider

29-7. The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

אָֽף	יָשִׁ֥יבוּ	וַ֝חֲכָמִ֗ים	קִרְיָ֑ה	יָפִ֣יחוּ	לָ֭צֹון	אַנְשֵׁ֣י
𐤀𐤐	𐤉𐤔𐤉􉀑𐤅	𐤅𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤒𐤓𐤉𐤄	𐤉𐤐𐤉𐤇𐤅	𐤋𐤑𐤅𐤍	𐤀𐤍𐤔𐤉
aa-ph	ya-sha-ybwa	wa-chaka-ma-ym	qa-ra-ya-ha	ya-pa-ychwa	la-sa-wn	aa-na-sha-ya
'ap	yasiybw	wahakamiym	qireyah	yapiyhw	lasown	'anesey
anger.	turn away	but the wise	a city,	inflame		Mockers

29-8. Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

נָֽחַת	וְאֵ֣ין	וְ֝שָׂחַ֗ק	וְרָגַ֥ז	אֱוִ֑יל	אִ֣ישׁ	אֶת	נִ֭שְׁפָּט	חָכָ֗ם	אִֽישׁ

na-cha-tha	wa-aa-yn	wa-sha-cha-qh	wa-ra-ga-z	au-wa-yl	aa-ysha	aa-tha	na-sha-pa-t	cha-ka-m	aa-ysha
nahat	we'eyn	wesahaq	weragaz	'ewiyl	'iys	'et	nisepat	hakam	'iys
resolution.	with no	and laughing	there will be raving	a fool,		with	goes to court	If a wise	man

29-9. If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

נַפְשֹֽׁו	יְבַקְשׁ֥וּ	וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים	תָ֑ם	יִשְׂנְאוּ	דָ֭מִים	אַנְשֵׁ֣י

na-pa-sha-wa	ya-ba-qa-shwa	wa-ysha-ra-ym	tha-m	ya-sha-na-awa	da-ma-ym	aa-na-sha-ya
napesow	yebaqesw	wiysariym	tam	yisene'w	damiym	'anesey

29-10. The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

יְשַׁבְּחֶֽנָּה	בְּאָחֹ֥ור	וְ֝חָכָ֗ם	כְסִ֑יל	יֹוצִ֣יא	ר֭וּחֹו	כָּל
𐤉𐤔􉀑𐤇𐤍𐤄	􉀑𐤀𐤇𐤅𐤓	𐤅𐤇𐤊𐤌	𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋	𐤉𐤅𐤑𐤉𐤀	𐤓𐤅𐤇𐤅	𐤊𐤋
ya-sha-ba-cha-na-ha	ba-aa-cha-wr	wa-cha-ka-m	ka-sa-yl	ya-wsa-ya	rwcha-wa	ka-l
yesabehenah	be'ahowr	wehakam	kesiyl	yowsiy'	rwhow	kal
holds	it back.	but a wise man	A fool	vents	his anger,	all

29-11. A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

רְשָׁעִֽים	מְשָׁרְתָ֥יו	כָּֽל	שָׁ֑קֶר	דְּבַר	עַל	מַקְשִׁ֣יב	מֹ֭שֵׁל

ra-sha-'a-ym	ma-sha-ra-tha-ywa	ka-l	sha-qa-r	da-ba-r	'a-l	ma-qa-sha-yb	ma-sha-l
resa'iym	mesaretayw	kal	saqer	debar	'al	maqesiyb	mosel

29-12. If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

יְהוָֽה	שְׁנֵיהֶ֣ם	עֵינֵ֖י	מֵ֤אִיר	נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ	תְּכָכִ֣ים	וְאִ֣ישׁ	רָ֤שׁ
𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤔𐤍𐤉𐤄𐤌	𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉	𐤌𐤀𐤉𐤓	𐤍𐤐𐤂𐤔𐤅	𐤕𐤊𐤊𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤓𐤔
ya-hwa-ha	sha-na-yha-m	'a-yna-ya	ma-aa-yr	na-pa-ga-shwa	tha-ka-ka-ym	wa-aa-ysha	ra-sha
yehwah	seneyhem	'eyney	me'iyr	nipegasw	tekakiym	we'iys	ras

יִכֹּֽון	לָעַ֥ד	כִּ֝סְאֹ֗ו	דַּלִּ֑ים	בֶּֽאֱמֶ֣ת	שֹׁופֵ֣ט	מֶ֤לֶךְ

ya-ka-wn	la-'a-d	ka-sa-aa-wa	da-la-ym	ba-au-ma-tha	sha-wpa-t	ma-la-ka
yikown	la'ad	kise'ow	daliym	be'emet	sowpet	meleke

אִמֹּֽו	מֵבִ֥ישׁ	מְ֝שֻׁלָּ֗ח	וְנַ֥עַר	חָכְמָ֑ה	יִתֵּ֣ן	וְ֭תֹוכַחַת	שֵׁ֣בֶט

aa-ma-wa	ma-ba-ysha	ma-shula-cha	wa-na-'a-r	cha-ka-ma-ha	ya-tha-n	wa-tha-wka-cha-tha	sha-ba-t
'imow	mebiys	mesulah	wena'ar	hakemah	yiten	wetowkahat	sebet
his mother.	disgraces	left to himself	but a child	wisdom,	imparts	of correction	A rod

29-15. The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

יִרְאֽוּ	בְּֽמַפַּלְתָּ֥ם	וְ֝צַדִּיקִ֗ים	פָּ֑שַׁע	יִרְבֶּה	רְ֭שָׁעִים	בִּרְבֹ֣ות
𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤅	􉀑𐤌𐤐𐤋𐤕𐤌	𐤅𐤑𐤃𐤉𐤒𐤉𐤌	𐤐𐤔𐤏	𐤉𐤓􉀑𐤄	𐤓𐤔𐤏𐤉𐤌	􉀑𐤓􉀑𐤅𐤕
ya-ra-awa	ba-ma-pa-la-tha-m	wa-sa-da-yqa-ym	pa-sha-'	ya-ra-ba-ha	ra-sha-'a-ym	ba-ra-ba-wtha
yire'w	bemapaletam	wesadiyqiym	pasa'	yirebeh	resa'iym	birebowt
will see	their downfall.	but the righteous	rebellion	increases;	When the wicked	thrive,

29-16. When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ	מַעֲדַנִּ֣ים	וְיִתֵּ֖ן	וִֽינִיחֶ֑ךָ	בִּ֭נְךָ	יַסֵּ֣ר
𐤋𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤊	𐤌𐤏𐤃𐤍𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤍	𐤅𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤇𐤊	􉀑𐤍𐤊	𐤉𐤎𐤓
la-na-pa-sha-ka	ma-'ada-na-ym	wa-ya-tha-n	wa-yna-ycha-ka	ba-na-ka	ya-sa-r
lenapeseka	ma'adaniym	weyiten	wiyniyheka	bineka	yaser
to your soul.	delight	he will bring	and he will give you rest;	your son,	Discipline

29-17. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

אַשְׁרֵֽהוּ	תֹּורָ֣ה	וְשֹׁמֵ֖ר	עָ֑ם	יִפָּ֣רַֽע	חָ֭זֹון	בְּאֵ֣ין

aa-sha-ra-hwa	tha-wra-ha	wa-sha-ma-r	'a-m	ya-pa-ra-'	cha-za-wn	ba-aa-yn
'aserehw	towrah	wesomer	'am	yipara'	hazown	be'eyn

29-18. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

מַעֲנֶֽה	וְאֵ֣ין	כִּֽייָ֝בִ֗ין	עָ֑בֶד	יִוָּ֣סֶר	לֹא	בִּ֭דְבָרִים
𐤌𐤏𐤍𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤊𐤉𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤏􉀑𐤃	𐤉𐤅𐤎𐤓	𐤋𐤀	􉀑𐤃􉀑𐤓𐤉𐤌
ma-'ana-ha	wa-aa-yn	ka-yya-ba-yn	'a-ba-d	ya-wa-sa-r	la-a	ba-da-ba-ra-ym
ma'aneh	we'eyn	kiyyabiyn	'abed	yiwaser	lo'	bidebariym
respond.	he will not	though he understands,	A servant	be corrected	cannot	by words [alone];

29-19. A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.

מִמֶּֽנּוּ	לִכְסִ֣יל	תִּקְוָ֖ה	בִּדְבָרָ֑יו	אָ֣ץ	אִ֭ישׁ	חָזִ֗יתָ
𐤌𐤌𐤍𐤅	𐤋𐤊𐤎𐤉𐤋	𐤕𐤒𐤅𐤄	􉀑𐤃􉀑𐤓𐤉𐤅	𐤀𐤑	𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤇𐤆𐤉𐤕
ma-ma-nwa	la-ka-sa-yl	tha-qa-wa-ha	ba-da-ba-ra-ywa	aa-tz	aa-ysha	cha-za-ytha
mimenw	likesiyl	tiqewah	bidebarayw	'as	'iys	haziyta

29-20. Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

מָנֹֽון	יִהְיֶ֥ה	וְ֝אַחֲרִיתֹ֗ו	עַבְדֹּ֑ו	נֹּ֣עַר	מִ	מְפַנֵּ֣ק
𐤌𐤍𐤅𐤍	𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤇𐤓𐤉𐤕𐤅	𐤏􉀑𐤃𐤅	𐤍𐤏𐤓	𐤌	𐤌𐤐𐤍𐤒
ma-na-wn	ya-ha-ya-ha	wa-aa-chara-ytha-wa	'a-ba-da-wa	na-'a-r	ma	ma-pa-na-qh
manown	yiheyeh	we'ahariytow	'abedow	no'ar	mi	mepaneq
grief	will bring	in the end.	A servant	his youth	from	pampered

29-21. He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

pro 29:22

פָּֽשַׁע	רַב	חֵמָ֣ה	וּבַ֖עַל	מָדֹ֑ון	יְגָרֶ֣ה	אַ֭ף	אִֽישׁ
𐤐𐤔𐤏	𐤓􉀑	𐤇𐤌𐤄	𐤅􉀑𐤏𐤋	𐤌𐤃𐤅𐤍	𐤉𐤂𐤓𐤄	𐤀𐤐	𐤀𐤉𐤔
pa-sha-'	ra-b	cha-ma-ha	wba-'a-l	ma-da-wn	ya-ga-ra-ha	aa-ph	aa-ysha
pasa'	rab	hemah	wba'al	madown	yegareh	'ap	'iys
in transgression.	abounds	and a hot-tempered	man	dissension,	stirs up	An angry	man

29-22. An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

כָּבֹֽוד	יִתְמֹ֥ךְ	ר֝֗וּחַ	וּשְׁפַל	תַּשְׁפִּילֶ֑נּוּ	אָ֭דָם	גַּאֲוַ֣ת
𐤊􉀑𐤅𐤃	𐤉𐤕𐤌𐤊	𐤓𐤅𐤇	𐤅𐤔𐤐𐤋	𐤕𐤔𐤐𐤉𐤋𐤍𐤅	𐤀𐤃𐤌	𐤂𐤀𐤅𐤕
ka-ba-wd	ya-tha-ma-ka	rwcha	wsha-pa-l	tha-sha-pa-yla-nwa	aa-da-m	ga-aawa-tha
kabowd	yitemoke	rwha	wsepal	tasepiylenw	'adam	ga'awat
honor.	will obtain	spirit	but a humble	will bring him low,	A man’s	pride

29-23. A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

יַגִּֽיד	וְלֹ֣א	יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע	אָלָ֥ה	נַפְשֹׁ֑ו	שֹׂונֵ֣א	גַּ֭נָּב	עִם	חֹולֵ֣ק
𐤉𐤂𐤉𐤃	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤏	𐤀𐤋𐤄	𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅	𐤔𐤅𐤍𐤀	𐤂𐤍􉀑	𐤏𐤌	𐤇𐤅𐤋𐤒
ya-ga-yd	wa-la-a	ya-sha-ma-'	aa-la-ha	na-pa-sha-wa	sha-wna-a	ga-na-b	'a-m	cha-wla-qh
yagiyd	welo'	yisema'	'alah	napesow	sowne'	ganab	'im	howleq
testify.	but will not	he receives	the oath,	his own soul;	hates	a thief	to	A partner

29-24. Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

pro 29:25

יְשֻׂגָּֽב	בַּיהוָ֣ה	וּבֹוטֵ֖חַ	מֹוקֵ֑שׁ	יִתֵּ֣ן	אָ֭דָם	חֶרְדַּ֣ת
𐤉𐤔𐤂􉀑	􉀑𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤅􉀑𐤅𐤈𐤇	𐤌𐤅𐤒𐤔	𐤉𐤕𐤍	𐤀𐤃𐤌	𐤇𐤓𐤃𐤕
ya-shuga-b	ba-yhwa-ha	wba-wta-cha	ma-wqa-sha	ya-tha-n	aa-da-m	cha-ra-da-tha
yesugab	bayhwah	wbowteha	mowqes	yiten	'adam	heredat
will be set securely on high.	in the LORD	but whoever trusts	a snare,	is	of man	The fear

29-25. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

אִֽישׁ	מִשְׁפַּט	יְהוָ֗ה	וּ֝מֵ	מֹושֵׁ֑ל	פְּנֵי	מְבַקְשִׁ֣ים	רַ֭בִּים

aa-ysha	ma-sha-pa-t	ya-hwa-ha	wma	ma-wsha-l	pa-na-ya	ma-ba-qa-sha-ym	ra-ba-ym
'iys	misepat	yehwah	wme	mowsel	peney	mebaqesiym	rabiym

da-ra-ka	ya-sha-r	ra-sha-'	wa-tha-w'aba-tha	'a-wa-l	aa-ysha	sa-da-yqa-ym	tha-w'aba-tha
dareke	yesar	rasa'	wetow'abat	'awel	'iys	sadiyqiym	tow'abat
and one whose way	is upright	to the wicked.	is detestable	An unjust	man	to the righteous,	is detestable

29-27. An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.
