job 14:1

רֹֽגֶז	וּֽשְׂבַֽע	יָ֝מִ֗ים	קְצַ֥ר	אִשָּׁ֑ה	יְל֣וּד	אָ֭דָם
𐤓𐤂𐤆	𐤅𐤔􉀑𐤏	𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤒𐤑𐤓	𐤀𐤔𐤄	𐤉𐤋𐤅𐤃	𐤀𐤃𐤌
ra-ga-z	wsha-ba-'	ya-ma-ym	qa-sa-r	aa-sha-ha	ya-lwd	aa-da-m
rogez	wseba'	yamiym	qesar	'isah	yelwd	'adam
of trouble.	and full	of days	is short	of woman,	who is born	Man,

14-1. Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.

job 14:2

יַעֲמֹֽוד	וְלֹ֣א	צֵּ֗ל	כַּ֝	וַיִּבְרַ֥ח	וַיִּמָּ֑ל	יָ֭צָא	צִ֣יץ	כְּ
𐤉𐤏𐤌𐤅𐤃	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤑𐤋	𐤊	𐤅𐤉􉀑𐤓𐤇	𐤅𐤉𐤌𐤋	𐤉𐤑𐤀	𐤑𐤉𐤑	𐤊
ya-'ama-wd	wa-la-a	sa-l	ka	wa-ya-ba-ra-cha	wa-ya-ma-l	ya-sa-a	sa-ytz	ka
ya'amowd	welo'	sel	ka	wayiberah	wayimal	yasa'	siys	ke
endure.	he does not	like a fleeting shadow,			then withers away;	he comes forth,	Like a flower,

14-2. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

job 14:3

עִמָּֽךְ	בְמִשְׁפָּ֣ט	תָבִ֖יא	וְאֹ֘תִ֤י	עֵינֶ֑ךָ	פָּקַ֣חְתָּ	זֶ֭ה	עַל	אַף
𐤏𐤌𐤊	􉀑𐤌𐤔𐤐𐤈	𐤕􉀑𐤉𐤀	𐤅𐤀𐤕𐤉	𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤊	𐤐𐤒𐤇𐤕	𐤆𐤄	𐤏𐤋	𐤀𐤐
'a-ma-ka	ba-ma-sha-pa-t	tha-ba-ya	wa-aa-tha-ya	'a-yna-ka	pa-qa-cha-tha	za-ha	'a-l	aa-ph
'imake	bemisepat	tabiy'	we'otiy	'eyneka	paqaheta	zeh	'al	'ap
before	into judgment	Will You bring him		your eyes	Do You open	to one like this?	You?

14-3. And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?

job 14:4

אֶחָֽד	לֹ֣א	טָּמֵ֗א	מִ	טָ֭הֹור	יִתֵּ֣ן	מִֽי
𐤀𐤇𐤃	𐤋𐤀	𐤈𐤌𐤀	𐤌	𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓	𐤉𐤕𐤍	𐤌𐤉
aa-cha-d	la-a	ta-ma-a	ma	ta-ha-wr	ya-tha-n	ma-ya
'ehad	lo'	tame'	mi	tahowr	yiten	miy
one!	No	out of unclean?		clean	can bring	Who

14-4. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

job 14:5

יַעֲבֹֽור	וְלֹ֣א	עָ֝שִׂ֗יתָ	חֻקָּ֥יו	אִתָּ֑ךְ	חֳדָשָׁ֥יו	מִֽסְפַּר	יָמָ֗יו	אִ֥םחֲרוּצִ֨ים
𐤉𐤏􉀑𐤅𐤓	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤏𐤔𐤉𐤕	𐤇𐤒𐤉𐤅	𐤀𐤕𐤊	𐤇𐤃𐤔𐤉𐤅	𐤌𐤎𐤐𐤓	𐤉𐤌𐤉𐤅	𐤀𐤌𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤑𐤉𐤌
ya-'aba-wr	wa-la-a	'a-sha-ytha	chuqa-ywa	aa-tha-ka	choda-sha-ywa	ma-sa-pa-r	ya-ma-ywa	aa-mcharwsa-ym
ya'abowr	welo'	'asiyta	huqayw	'itake	hodasayw	misepar	yamayw	'imharwsiym
exceed,	that he cannot	and since You have set	limits	[is] with You,	of his months	and the number	his days	Since [are] determined

14-5. Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

job 14:6

יֹומֹֽו	שָׂכִ֥יר	כְּ	עַדיִ֝רְצֶ֗ה	וְיֶחְדָּ֑ל	עָלָ֣יו	מֵ	שְׁעֵ֣ה
𐤉𐤅𐤌𐤅	𐤔𐤊𐤉𐤓	𐤊	𐤏𐤃𐤉𐤓𐤑𐤄	𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤃𐤋	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅	𐤌	𐤔𐤏𐤄
ya-wma-wa	sha-ka-yr	ka	'a-dya-ra-sa-ha	wa-ya-cha-da-l	'a-la-ywa	ma	sha-'a-ha
yowmow	sakiyr	ke	'adyireseh	weyehedal	'alayw	me	se'eh
his day	as a hired hand.		so he can enjoy	and let him rest,	him	from	look away

14-6. Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.

job 14:7

תֶחְדָּֽל	לֹ֣א	וְ֝יֹֽנַקְתֹּ֗ו	יַחֲלִ֑יף	וְעֹ֣וד	אִֽםיִ֭כָּרֵת	תִּ֫קְוָ֥ה	לָעֵ֗ץ	כִּ֤ייֵ֥שׁ
𐤕𐤇𐤃𐤋	𐤋𐤀	𐤅𐤉𐤍𐤒𐤕𐤅	𐤉𐤇𐤋𐤉𐤐	𐤅𐤏𐤅𐤃	𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤊𐤓𐤕	𐤕𐤒𐤅𐤄	𐤋𐤏𐤑	𐤊𐤉𐤉𐤔
tha-cha-da-l	la-a	wa-ya-na-qa-tha-wa	ya-chala-yph	wa-'a-wd	aa-mya-ka-ra-tha	tha-qa-wa-ha	la-'a-tz	ka-yya-sha
tehedal	lo'	weyonaqetow	yahaliyp	we'owd	'imyikaret	tiqewah	la'es	kiyyes
fail.	will not	and its tender shoots	it will sprout	again,	If it is cut down,	hope	for a tree:	For there is

14-7. For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

job 14:8

גִּזְעֹֽו	יָמ֥וּת	וּ֝בֶעָפָ֗ר	שָׁרְשֹׁ֑ו	בָּאָ֣רֶץ	אִםיַזְקִ֣ין
𐤂𐤆𐤏𐤅	𐤉𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤅􉀑𐤏𐤐𐤓	𐤔𐤓𐤔𐤅	􉀑𐤀𐤓𐤑	𐤀𐤌𐤉𐤆𐤒𐤉𐤍
ga-za-'a-wa	ya-mwtha	wba-'a-pa-r	sha-ra-sha-wa	ba-aa-ra-tz	aa-mya-za-qa-yn
gize'ow	yamwt	wbe'apar	saresow	ba'ares	'imyazeqiyn
and its stump	dies	in the soil,	its roots	in the ground	If grow old

14-8. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

job 14:9

נָֽטַע	כְּמֹו	קָצִ֣יר	וְעָשָׂ֖ה	יַפְרִ֑חַ	מַ֣יִם	רֵ֣יחַ	מֵ
𐤍𐤈𐤏	𐤊𐤌𐤅	𐤒𐤑𐤉𐤓	𐤅𐤏𐤔𐤄	𐤉𐤐𐤓𐤇	𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤓𐤉𐤇	𐤌
na-ta-'	ka-ma-wa	qa-sa-yr	wa-'a-sha-ha	ya-pa-ra-cha	ma-ya-m	ra-ycha	ma
nata'	kemow	qasiyr	we'asah	yaperiha	mayim	reyha	me
a sapling.	like	twigs	and put forth	it will bud	of water	at the scent

14-9. Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

job 14:10

וְאַיֹּֽו	אָדָ֣ם	וַיִּגְוַ֖ע	וַֽיֶּחֱלָ֑שׁ	יָ֭מוּת	וְגֶ֣בֶר
𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤅	𐤀𐤃𐤌	𐤅𐤉𐤂𐤅𐤏	𐤅𐤉𐤇𐤋𐤔	𐤉𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤅𐤂􉀑𐤓
wa-aa-ya-wa	aa-da-m	wa-ya-ga-wa-'	wa-ya-chu-la-sha	ya-mwtha	wa-ga-ba-r
we'ayow	'adam	wayigewa'	wayehelas	yamwt	wegeber
and where [is] he?	he	breathes his last,	and is laid low;	dies	But a man

14-10. But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?

job 14:11

וְיָבֵֽשׁ	יֶחֱרַ֥ב	וְ֝נָהָ֗ר	יָ֑ם	מִנִּי	מַ֭יִם	אָֽזְלוּ
𐤅𐤉􉀑𐤔	𐤉𐤇𐤓􉀑	𐤅𐤍𐤄𐤓	𐤉𐤌	𐤌𐤍𐤉	𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤀𐤆𐤋𐤅
wa-ya-ba-sha	ya-chu-ra-b	wa-na-ha-r	ya-m	ma-na-ya	ma-ya-m	aa-za-lwa
weyabes	yeherab	wenahar	yam	miniy	mayim	'azelw
and dry,	becomes parched	and a river	the sea	from	As water	disappears

14-11. As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

יֵ֝עֹ֗רוּ

וְלֹֽא

יָקִ֑יצוּ

לֹ֣א

שָׁ֭מַיִם

בִּלְתִּ֣י

עַד

יָ֫ק֥וּם

וְֽלֹא

שָׁכַ֗ב

וְאִ֥ישׁ

14-12. So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

אַפֶּ֑ךָ

שׁ֣וּב

תַּ֭סְתִּירֵנִי

תַּצְפִּנֵ֗נִי

בִּשְׁאֹ֬ול

יִתֵּ֨ן

and then remember me.

a time for me

If only You would appoint

Your anger

passes.

and conceal me

You would hide

me in Sheol

If only

14-13. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!

14-14. If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

תִכְסֹֽף	יָדֶ֣יךָ	לְֽמַעֲשֵׂ֖ה	אֶֽעֱנֶ֑ךָּ	וְאָנֹכִ֣י	תִּ֭קְרָא
𐤕𐤊𐤎𐤐	𐤉𐤃𐤉𐤊	𐤋𐤌𐤏𐤔𐤄	𐤀𐤏𐤍𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤍𐤊𐤉	𐤕𐤒𐤓𐤀
tha-ka-sa-ph	ya-da-yka	la-ma-'asha-ha	aa-'u-na-ka	wa-aa-na-ka-ya	tha-qa-ra-a
tikesop	yadeyka	lema'aseh	'e'eneka	we'anokiy	tiqera'
You will desire	of Your hands.	the work	will answer You;	and I	You will call,

14-15. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.

job 14:16

חַטָּאתִֽי	עַל	תִ֝שְׁמֹ֗ור	לֹֽא	תִּסְפֹּ֑ור	צְעָדַ֣י	כִּֽיעַ֭תָּה
𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤕𐤉	𐤏𐤋	𐤕𐤔𐤌𐤅𐤓	𐤋𐤀	𐤕𐤎𐤐𐤅𐤓	𐤑𐤏𐤃𐤉	𐤊𐤉𐤏𐤕𐤄
cha-ta-atha-ya	'a-l	tha-sha-ma-wr	la-a	tha-sa-pa-wr	sa-'a-da-ya	ka-y'a-tha-ha
hata'tiy	'al	tisemowr	lo'	tisepowr	se'aday	kiy'atah
my sin.	of	keep track	but would not	You would count	my steps,	For then

14-16. For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?

job 14:17

עֲוֹנִֽי	עַל	וַ֝תִּטְפֹּ֗ל	פִּשְׁעִ֑י	בִּצְרֹ֣ור	חָתֻ֣ם
𐤏𐤅𐤍𐤉	𐤏𐤋	𐤅𐤕𐤈𐤐𐤋	𐤐𐤔𐤏𐤉	􉀑𐤑𐤓𐤅𐤓	𐤇𐤕𐤌
'awa-na-ya	'a-l	wa-tha-ta-pa-l	pa-sha-'a-ya	ba-sa-ra-wr	cha-thum
'awoniy	'al	watitepol	pise'iy	biserowr	hatum
my iniquity.	over	and You would cover	My transgression	in a bag,	would be sealed

14-17. My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.

job 14:18

מְּקֹמֹֽו	מִ	יֶעְתַּ֥ק	וְ֝צ֗וּר	יִבֹּ֑ול	נֹופֵ֣ל	הַר	וְ֭אוּלָם
𐤌𐤒𐤌𐤅	𐤌	𐤉𐤏𐤕𐤒	𐤅𐤑𐤅𐤓	𐤉􉀑𐤅𐤋	𐤍𐤅𐤐𐤋	𐤄𐤓	𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤌
ma-qa-ma-wa	ma	ya-'a-tha-qh	wa-swr	ya-ba-wl	na-wpa-l	ha-r	wa-awla-m
meqomow	mi	ye'etaq	weswr	yibowl	nowpel	har	we'wlam
its place,	from	is dislodged	and a rock	and crumbles	erodes	as a mountain	But

14-18. And surely the mountains falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.

job 14:19

הֶאֱבַֽדְתָּ	אֱנֹ֣ושׁ	וְתִקְוַ֖ת	אָ֑רֶץ	עֲפַר	סְפִיחֶ֥יהָ	תִּשְׁטֹֽף	מַ֗יִם	שָׁ֥חֲקוּ	אֲבָנִ֤ים
𐤄𐤀􉀑𐤃𐤕	𐤀𐤍𐤅𐤔	𐤅𐤕𐤒𐤅𐤕	𐤀𐤓𐤑	𐤏𐤐𐤓	𐤎𐤐𐤉𐤇𐤉𐤄	𐤕𐤔𐤈𐤐	𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤔𐤇𐤒𐤅	𐤀􉀑𐤍𐤉𐤌
ha-au-ba-da-tha	au-na-wsha	wa-tha-qa-wa-tha	aa-ra-tz	'apa-r	sa-pa-ycha-yha	tha-sha-ta-ph	ma-ya-m	sha-chaqwa	aaba-na-ym
he'ebadeta	'enows	wetiqewat	'ares	'apar	sepiyheyha	tisetop	mayim	sahaqw	'abaniym
so You destroy	a man’s	hope.		the soil,	and torrents	wash away	as water	wears away	stones

14-19. The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.

job 14:20

וַֽתְּשַׁלְּחֵֽהוּ	פָ֝נָ֗יו	מְשַׁנֶּ֥ה	וַֽיַּהֲלֹ֑ךְ	לָ֭נֶצַח	תִּתְקְפֵ֣הוּ
𐤅𐤕𐤔𐤋𐤇𐤄𐤅	𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤅	𐤌𐤔𐤍𐤄	𐤅𐤉𐤄𐤋𐤊	𐤋𐤍𐤑𐤇	𐤕𐤕𐤒𐤐𐤄𐤅
wa-tha-sha-la-cha-hwa	pa-na-ywa	ma-sha-na-ha	wa-ya-hala-ka	la-na-sa-cha	tha-tha-qa-pa-hwa
watesalehehw	panayw	mesaneh	wayahaloke	lanesah	titeqepehw
and send him away.	his countenance	You change	and he passes on;	You forever	overpower him,

14-20. Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.

job 14:21

יָבִ֥ין	וְֽלֹא	וְ֝יִצְעֲר֗וּ	יֵדָ֑ע	וְלֹ֣א	בָ֭נָיו	יִכְבְּד֣וּ
𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤅𐤉𐤑𐤏𐤓𐤅	𐤉𐤃𐤏	𐤅𐤋𐤀	􉀑𐤍𐤉𐤅	𐤉𐤊􉀑𐤃𐤅
ya-ba-yn	wa-la-a	wa-ya-sa-'arwa	ya-da-'	wa-la-a	ba-na-ywa	ya-ka-ba-dwa
yabiyn	welo'	weyise'arw	yeda'	welo'	banayw	yikebedw
	he is unaware.	if they are brought low,	know it;	he does not	If his sons	receive honor,

14-21. His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.

job 14:22

תֶּאֱבָֽל	עָלָ֥יו	וְ֝נַפְשֹׁ֗ו	יִכְאָ֑ב	עָלָ֣יו	בְּ֭שָׂרֹו	לָֽמֹואַךְ
𐤕𐤀􉀑𐤋	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅	𐤅𐤍𐤐𐤔𐤅	𐤉𐤊𐤀􉀑	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅	􉀑𐤔𐤓𐤅	𐤋𐤌𐤅𐤀𐤊
tha-au-ba-l	'a-la-ywa	wa-na-pa-sha-wa	ya-ka-aa-b	'a-la-ywa	ba-sha-ra-wa	la-ma-waa-ka
te'ebal	'alayw	wenapesow	yike'ab	'alayw	besarow	lamow'ake
and mourns		himself.”	the pain	only for	of his own body	He feels only

14-22. But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
