יָזֹֽקּוּ	לַזָּהָ֥ב	וּ֝מָקֹ֗ום	מֹוצָ֑א	לַכֶּ֣סֶף	כִּ֤ייֵ֣שׁ
𐤉𐤆𐤒𐤅	𐤋𐤆𐤄􉀑	𐤅𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌	𐤌𐤅𐤑𐤀	𐤋𐤊𐤎𐤐	𐤊𐤉𐤉𐤔
ya-za-qwa	la-za-ha-b	wma-qa-wm	ma-wsa-a	la-ka-sa-ph	ka-yya-sha
yazoqw	lazahab	wmaqowm	mowsa'	lakesep	kiyyes
is refined.	where gold	and a place	a mine	for silver	Surely there is

28-1. Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.

job 28:2

נְחוּשָֽׁה	יָצ֥וּק	וְ֝אֶ֗בֶן	יֻקָּ֑ח	עָפָ֣ר	מֵ	בַּ֭רְזֶל
𐤍𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤄	𐤉𐤑𐤅𐤒	𐤅𐤀􉀑𐤍	𐤉𐤒𐤇	𐤏𐤐𐤓	𐤌	􉀑𐤓𐤆𐤋
na-chwsha-ha	ya-swqh	wa-aa-ba-n	yuqa-cha	'a-pa-r	ma	ba-ra-za-l
nehwsah	yaswq	we'eben	yuqah	'apar	me	barezel
and copper	is smelted	from ore.	is taken	the earth,	from	Iron

28-2. Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.

job 28:3

וְצַלְמָֽוֶת	אֹ֣פֶל	אֶ֖בֶן	חֹוקֵ֑ר	ה֣וּא	תַּ֭כְלִית	וּֽלְכָל	לַחֹ֗שֶׁךְ	שָׂ֤ם	קֵ֤ץ
𐤅𐤑𐤋𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤀𐤐𐤋	𐤀􉀑𐤍	𐤇𐤅𐤒𐤓	𐤄𐤅𐤀	𐤕𐤊𐤋𐤉𐤕	𐤅𐤋𐤊𐤋	𐤋𐤇𐤔𐤊	𐤔𐤌	𐤒𐤑
wa-sa-la-ma-wa-tha	aa-pa-l	aa-ba-n	cha-wqa-r	hwa	tha-ka-la-ytha	wla-ka-l	la-cha-sha-ka	sha-m	qa-tz
wesalemawet	'opel	'eben	howqer	hw'	takeliyt	wlekal	lahoseke	sam	qes
	in deepest darkness.	for ore	probes	he		the farthest recesses	to the darkness;	[Man] puts	an end

28-3. He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.

Far from men

he dangles

by the foot of man.

in places forgotten

human habitation

Far from

a shaft

he cuts

28-4. The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.

אֵֽשׁ	כְּמֹו	נֶהְפַּ֥ךְ	וְ֝תַחְתֶּ֗יהָ	לָ֑חֶם	יֵֽצֵא	מִמֶּ֥נָּה	אֶ֗רֶץ
𐤀𐤔	𐤊𐤌𐤅	𐤍𐤄𐤐𐤊	𐤅𐤕𐤇𐤕𐤉𐤄	𐤋𐤇𐤌	𐤉𐤑𐤀	𐤌𐤌𐤍𐤄	𐤀𐤓𐤑
aa-sha	ka-ma-wa	na-ha-pa-ka	wa-tha-cha-tha-yha	la-cha-m	ya-sa-a	ma-ma-na-ha	aa-ra-tz
'es	kemow	nehepake	wetaheteyha	lahem	yese'	mimenah	'eres
by fire.	as	it is transformed	but from below	Food	may come	from	the earth,

28-5. As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.

job 28:6

זָהָ֣ב	וְעַפְרֹ֖ת	אֲבָנֶ֑יהָ	סַפִּ֥יר	מְקֹום
𐤆𐤄􉀑	𐤅𐤏𐤐𐤓𐤕	𐤀􉀑𐤍𐤉𐤄	𐤎𐤐𐤉𐤓	𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌
za-ha-b	wa-'a-pa-ra-tha	aaba-na-yha	sa-pa-yr	ma-qa-wm
zahab	we'aperot	'abaneyha	sapiyr	meqowm
of gold.	containing flecks	Its rocks	of sapphires,	are the source

28-6. The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.

job 28:7

אַיָּֽה	עֵ֣ין	שְׁ֝זָפַ֗תּוּ	וְלֹ֥א	עָ֑יִט	יְדָ֣עֹו	לֹֽא	לֹֽונָ֭תִיב
𐤀𐤉𐤄	𐤏𐤉𐤍	𐤔𐤆𐤐𐤕𐤅	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤏𐤉𐤈	𐤉𐤃𐤏𐤅	𐤋𐤀	𐤋𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤉􉀑
aa-ya-ha	'a-yn	sha-za-pa-thwa	wa-la-a	'a-ya-t	ya-da-'a-wa	la-a	la-wna-tha-yb
'ayah	'eyn	sezapatw	welo'	'ayit	yeda'ow	lo'	lownatiyb
falcon’s	eye	has seen it.	no	bird of prey	knows	No	that path;

28-7. There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:

שָֽׁחַל	עָלָ֣יו	עָדָ֖ה	לֹֽא	שָׁ֑חַץ	בְנֵי	הִדְרִיכֻ֥הוּ	לֹֽא
𐤔𐤇𐤋	𐤏𐤋𐤉𐤅	𐤏𐤃𐤄	𐤋𐤀	𐤔𐤇𐤑	􉀑𐤍𐤉	𐤄𐤃𐤓𐤉𐤊𐤄𐤅	𐤋𐤀
sha-cha-l	'a-la-ywa	'a-da-ha	la-a	sha-cha-tz	ba-na-ya	ha-da-ra-ykuhwa	la-a
sahal	'alayw	'adah	lo'	sahas	beney	hideriykuhw	lo'
lion	over it.	has ever prowled	no		Proud beasts	trodden it;	have never

28-8. The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.

job 28:9

הָרִֽים	שֹּׁ֣רֶשׁ	מִ	הָפַ֖ךְ	יָדֹ֑ו	שָׁלַ֣ח	בַּֽ֭חַלָּמִישׁ
𐤄𐤓𐤉𐤌	𐤔𐤓𐤔	𐤌	𐤄𐤐𐤊	𐤉𐤃𐤅	𐤔𐤋𐤇	􉀑𐤇𐤋𐤌𐤉𐤔
ha-ra-ym	sha-ra-sha	ma	ha-pa-ka	ya-da-wa	sha-la-cha	ba-cha-la-ma-ysha
hariym	sores	mi	hapake	yadow	salah	bahalamiys
mountains	at their base.		he overturns		The miner strikes	the flint;

28-9. He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.

job 28:10

עֵינֹֽו	רָאֲתָ֥ה	יְ֝קָ֗ר	וְכָל	בִּקֵּ֑עַ	יְאֹרִ֣ים	בַּ֭צּוּרֹות
𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤅	𐤓𐤀𐤕𐤄	𐤉𐤒𐤓	𐤅𐤊𐤋	􉀑𐤒𐤏	𐤉𐤀𐤓𐤉𐤌	􉀑𐤑𐤅𐤓𐤅𐤕
'a-yna-wa	ra-aatha-ha	ya-qa-r	wa-ka-l	ba-qa-'a	ya-aa-ra-ym	ba-swra-wtha
'eynow	ra'atah	yeqar	wekal	biqe'a	ye'oriym	baswrowt
and his eyes	spot	treasure.	every	He hews out	channels	in the rocks,

28-10. He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.

job 28:11

אֹֽור	יֹ֣צִא	וְ֝תַעֲלֻמָ֗הּ	חִבֵּ֑שׁ	נְהָרֹ֣ות	בְּכִי	מִ֭
𐤀𐤅𐤓	𐤉𐤑𐤀	𐤅𐤕𐤏𐤋𐤌𐤄	𐤇􉀑𐤔	𐤍𐤄𐤓𐤅𐤕	􉀑𐤊𐤉	𐤌
aa-wr	ya-sa-a	wa-tha-'aluma-ha	cha-ba-sha	na-ha-ra-wtha	ba-ka-ya	ma
'owr	yosi'	weta'alumah	hibes	neharowt	bekiy	mi
to light.	to bring	what is hidden	He searches	of the streams	the sources

28-11. He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.

job 28:12

בִּינָֽה	מְקֹ֣ום	זֶ֝ה	וְאֵ֥י	תִּמָּצֵ֑א	אַ֣יִן	מֵ	וְֽ֭הַחָכְמָה
􉀑𐤉𐤍𐤄	𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌	𐤆𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤉	𐤕𐤌𐤑𐤀	𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤌	𐤅𐤄𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄
ba-yna-ha	ma-qa-wm	za-ha	wa-aa-ya	tha-ma-sa-a	aa-ya-n	ma	wa-ha-cha-ka-ma-ha
biynah	meqowm	zeh	we'ey	timase'	'ayin	me	wehahakemah
does understanding	dwell?		and where	be found,	But where		can wisdom

28-12. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?

job 28:13

הַֽחַיִּֽים	בְּאֶ֣רֶץ	תִ֝מָּצֵ֗א	וְלֹ֥א	עֶרְכָּ֑הּ	אֱנֹ֣ושׁ	יָדַ֣ע	לֹא
𐤄𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌	􉀑𐤀𐤓𐤑	𐤕𐤌𐤑𐤀	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤏𐤓𐤊𐤄	𐤀𐤍𐤅𐤔	𐤉𐤃𐤏	𐤋𐤀
ha-cha-ya-ym	ba-aa-ra-tz	tha-ma-sa-a	wa-la-a	'a-ra-ka-ha	au-na-wsha	ya-da-'	la-a
hahayiym	be'eres	timase'	welo'	'erekah	'enows	yada'	lo'
of the living.	in the land	is it found	nor	its value,	man	can know	No

28-13. Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

job 28:14

עִמָּדִֽי	אֵ֣ין	אָ֝מַ֗ר	וְיָ֥ם	בִיהִ֑יא	לֹ֣א	אָ֭מַר	תְּהֹ֣ום
𐤏𐤌𐤃𐤉	𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤀𐤌𐤓	𐤅𐤉𐤌	􉀑𐤉𐤄𐤉𐤀	𐤋𐤀	𐤀𐤌𐤓	𐤕𐤄𐤅𐤌
'a-ma-da-ya	aa-yn	aa-ma-r	wa-ya-m	ba-yha-ya	la-a	aa-ma-r	tha-ha-wm
'imadiy	'eyn	'amar	weyam	biyhiy'	lo'	'amar	tehowm
with me.’	‘[It is] not	declares,	while the sea	in me,’ ‘It [is]	not	say,	The ocean depths

28-14. The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.

מְחִירָֽהּ	כֶּ֣סֶף	יִ֝שָּׁקֵ֗ל	וְלֹ֥א	תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ	סְגֹ֣ור	יֻתַּ֣ן	לֹא
𐤌𐤇𐤉𐤓𐤄	𐤊𐤎𐤐	𐤉𐤔𐤒𐤋	𐤅𐤋𐤀	𐤕𐤇𐤕𐤉𐤄	𐤎𐤂𐤅𐤓	𐤉𐤕𐤍	𐤋𐤀
ma-cha-yra-ha	ka-sa-ph	ya-sha-qa-l	wa-la-a	tha-cha-tha-yha	sa-ga-wr	yutha-n	la-a
mehiyrah	kesep	yisaqel	welo'	taheteyha	segowr	yutan	lo'
its price	in silver.	weighed out	nor	for gold,		be purchased	It cannot

28-15. It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

job 28:16

וְסַפִּֽיר	יָקָ֣ר	בְּשֹׁ֖הַם	אֹופִ֑יר	בְּכֶ֣תֶם	תְ֭סֻלֶּה	לֹֽא
𐤅𐤎𐤐𐤉𐤓	𐤉𐤒𐤓	􉀑𐤔𐤄𐤌	𐤀𐤅𐤐𐤉𐤓	􉀑𐤊𐤕𐤌	𐤕𐤎𐤋𐤄	𐤋𐤀
wa-sa-pa-yr	ya-qa-r	ba-sha-ha-m	aa-wpa-yr	ba-ka-tha-m	tha-sula-ha	la-a
wesapiyr	yaqar	besoham	'owpiyr	beketem	tesuleh	lo'
or sapphire.	in precious	onyx	of Ophir,	in the gold	be valued	It cannot

28-16. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

job 28:17

פָֽז	כְּלִי	וּתְמ֖וּרָתָ֣הּ	וּזְכֹוכִ֑ית	זָ֭הָב	יַעַרְכֶ֣נָּה	לֹא
𐤐𐤆	𐤊𐤋𐤉	𐤅𐤕𐤌𐤅𐤓𐤕𐤄	𐤅𐤆𐤊𐤅𐤊𐤉𐤕	𐤆𐤄􉀑	𐤉𐤏𐤓𐤊𐤍𐤄	𐤋𐤀
pa-z	ka-la-ya	wtha-mwra-tha-ha	wza-ka-wka-ytha	za-ha-b	ya-'a-ra-ka-na-ha	la-a
paz	keliy	wtemwratah	wzekowkiyt	zahab	ya'arekenah	lo'
of fine gold	nor jewels	be exchanged for it.	nor crystal	gold	can compare,	Neither

28-17. The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.

פְּנִינִֽים	מִ	חָ֝כְמָ֗ה	וּמֶ֥שֶׁךְ	יִזָּכֵ֑ר	לֹ֣א	וְ֭גָבִישׁ	רָאמֹ֣ות
𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤉𐤌	𐤌	𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄	𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤊	𐤉𐤆𐤊𐤓	𐤋𐤀	𐤅𐤂􉀑𐤉𐤔	𐤓𐤀𐤌𐤅𐤕
pa-na-yna-ym	ma	cha-ka-ma-ha	wma-sha-ka	ya-za-ka-r	la-a	wa-ga-ba-ysha	ra-ama-wtha
peniyniym	mi	hakemah	wmeseke	yizaker	lo'	wegabiys	ra'mowt
beyond rubies.		of wisdom [is]	the price	of mention;	are unworthy	and quartz	Coral

28-18. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

תְסֻלֶּֽה	לֹ֣א	טָ֝הֹ֗ור	בְּכֶ֥תֶם	כּ֑וּשׁ	פִּטְדַת	יַ֭עַרְכֶנָּה	לֹֽא
𐤕𐤎𐤋𐤄	𐤋𐤀	𐤈𐤄𐤅𐤓	􉀑𐤊𐤕𐤌	𐤊𐤅𐤔	𐤐𐤈𐤃𐤕	𐤉𐤏𐤓𐤊𐤍𐤄	𐤋𐤀
tha-sula-ha	la-a	ta-ha-wr	ba-ka-tha-m	kwsha	pa-ta-da-tha	ya-'a-ra-ka-na-ha	la-a
tesuleh	lo'	tahowr	beketem	kws	pitedat	ya'arekenah	lo'
be valued	nor can it	in pure	gold.	from Cush	Topaz	compare,	cannot

28-19. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

בִּינָֽה	מְקֹ֣ום	זֶ֝֗ה	וְאֵ֥י	תָּבֹ֑וא	אַ֣יִן	מֵ	וְֽ֭הַחָכְמָה
􉀑𐤉𐤍𐤄	𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌	𐤆𐤄	𐤅𐤀𐤉	𐤕􉀑𐤅𐤀	𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤌	𐤅𐤄𐤇𐤊𐤌𐤄
ba-yna-ha	ma-qa-wm	za-ha	wa-aa-ya	tha-ba-wa	aa-ya-n	ma	wa-ha-cha-ka-ma-ha
biynah	meqowm	zeh	we'ey	tabow'	'ayin	me	wehahakemah
does understanding	dwell?		and where	come,	where	From	then does wisdom

28-20. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

נִסְתָּֽרָה	הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם	עֹ֖וף	וּמֵ	חָ֑י	כָל	עֵינֵ֣י	מֵ	וְֽ֭נֶעֶלְמָה
𐤍𐤎𐤕𐤓𐤄	𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤏𐤅𐤐	𐤅𐤌	𐤇𐤉	𐤊𐤋	𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉	𐤌	𐤅𐤍𐤏𐤋𐤌𐤄
na-sa-tha-ra-ha	ha-sha-ma-ya-m	'a-wph	wma	cha-ya	ka-l	'a-yna-ya	ma	wa-na-'a-la-ma-ha
nisetarah	hasamayim	'owp	wme	hay	kal	'eyney	me	wene'elemah
and concealed	of the air.	the birds	from	living thing	of every	the eyes	from	It is hidden

28-21. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.

job 28:22

שִׁמְעָֽהּ	שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ	בְּ֝אָזְנֵ֗ינוּ	אָ֣מְר֑וּ	וָ֭מָוֶת	אֲבַדֹּ֣ון
𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤄	𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤍𐤅	􉀑𐤀𐤆𐤍𐤉𐤍𐤅	𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤅	𐤅𐤌𐤅𐤕	𐤀􉀑𐤃𐤅𐤍
sha-ma-'a-ha	sha-ma-'a-nwa	ba-aa-za-na-ynwa	aa-ma-rwa	wa-ma-wa-tha	aaba-da-wn
sime'ah	sama'enw	be'azeneynw	'amerw	wamawet	'abadown
a rumor about it.’	‘We have heard		say,	and Death	Abaddon

28-22. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.

job 28:23

מְקֹומָֽהּ	אֶת	יָדַ֥ע	וְ֝ה֗וּא	דַּרְכָּ֑הּ	הֵבִ֣ין	אֱ֭לֹהִים
𐤌𐤒𐤅𐤌𐤄	𐤀𐤕	𐤉𐤃𐤏	𐤅𐤄𐤅𐤀	𐤃𐤓𐤊𐤄	𐤄􉀑𐤉𐤍	𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉𐤌
ma-qa-wma-ha	aa-tha	ya-da-'	wa-hwa	da-ra-ka-ha	ha-ba-yn	au-la-ha-ym
meqowmah	'et	yada'	wehw'	darekah	hebiyn	'elohiym
its place.		knows	and He	its way,	understands	But God

28-23. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.

job 28:24

יִרְאֶֽה	הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם	כָּל	תַּ֖חַת	יַבִּ֑יט	הָאָ֣רֶץ	לִקְצֹות	כִּיה֖וּא
𐤉𐤓𐤀𐤄	𐤄𐤔𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤊𐤋	𐤕𐤇𐤕	𐤉􉀑𐤉𐤈	𐤄𐤀𐤓𐤑	𐤋𐤒𐤑𐤅𐤕	𐤊𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤀
ya-ra-aa-ha	ha-sha-ma-ya-m	ka-l	tha-cha-tha	ya-ba-yt	ha-aa-ra-tz	la-qa-sa-wtha	ka-yhwa
yire'eh	hasamayim	kal	tahat	yabiyt	ha'ares	liqesowt	kiyhw'
and sees	the heavens.	everything	under	looks	of the earth	to the ends	For He

28-24. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;

בְּמִדָּֽה	תִּכֵּ֥ן	וּ֝מַ֗יִם	מִשְׁקָ֑ל	לָר֣וּחַ	לַעֲשֹׂ֣ות
􉀑𐤌𐤃𐤄	𐤕𐤊𐤍	𐤅𐤌𐤉𐤌	𐤌𐤔𐤒𐤋	𐤋𐤓𐤅𐤇	𐤋𐤏𐤔𐤅𐤕
ba-ma-da-ha	tha-ka-n	wma-ya-m	ma-sha-qa-l	la-rwcha	la-'asha-wtha
bemidah	tiken	wmayim	miseqal	larwha	la'asowt
and measured out		the waters,	the weight	of the wind	When God fixed

28-25. To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.

job 28:26

קֹלֹֽות	לַחֲזִ֥יז	וְ֝דֶ֗רֶךְ	חֹ֑ק	לַמָּטָ֣ר	בַּעֲשֹׂתֹ֣ו
𐤒𐤋𐤅𐤕	𐤋𐤇𐤆𐤉𐤆	𐤅𐤃𐤓𐤊	𐤇𐤒	𐤋𐤌𐤈𐤓	􉀑𐤏𐤔𐤕𐤅
qa-la-wtha	la-chaza-yz	wa-da-ra-ka	cha-qh	la-ma-ta-r	ba-'asha-tha-wa
qolowt	lahaziyz	wedereke	hoq	lamatar	ba'asotow
	for the thunderbolt,	and a path	a limit	for the rain	when He set

28-26. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:

חֲקָרָֽהּ	וְגַם	הֱ֝כִינָ֗הּ	וַֽיְסַפְּרָ֑הּ	רָ֭אָהּ	אָ֣ז
𐤇𐤒𐤓𐤄	𐤅𐤂𐤌	𐤄𐤊𐤉𐤍𐤄	𐤅𐤉𐤎𐤐𐤓𐤄	𐤓𐤀𐤄	𐤀𐤆
chaqa-ra-ha	wa-ga-m	hu-ka-yna-ha	wa-ya-sa-pa-ra-ha	ra-aa-ha	aa-z
haqarah	wegam	hekiynah	wayesaperah	ra'ah	'az
searched it out.	and and	He established it	and appraised it;	He looked at [wisdom]	then

28-27. Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
