psa 38:1

תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי	וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥	תֹוכִיחֵ֑נִי	בְּקֶצְפְּךָ֥	אַל	יְֽהוָ֗ה	לְהַזְכִּֽיר	לְדָוִ֣ד	בֹֽומִזְמֹ֖ור
𐤕𐤉𐤎𐤓𐤍𐤉	𐤅􉀑𐤇𐤌𐤕𐤊	𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤉𐤇𐤍𐤉	􉀑𐤒𐤑𐤐𐤊	𐤀𐤋	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤋𐤄𐤆𐤊𐤉𐤓	𐤋𐤃𐤅𐤃	􉀑𐤅𐤌𐤆𐤌𐤅𐤓
tha-ya-sa-ra-na-ya	wba-chama-tha-ka	tha-wka-ycha-na-ya	ba-qa-sa-pa-ka	aa-l	ya-hwa-ha	la-ha-za-ka-yr	la-da-wa-d	ba-wma-za-ma-wr
teyasereniy	wbahamateka	towkiyheniy	beqesepeka	'al	yehwah	lehazekiyr	ledawid	bowmizemowr
or discipline me	in Your wrath.	rebuke me	in Your anger	do not	O LORD,	for remembrance.	of David,	in Him. A Psalm

38-1. O lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

psa 38:2

יָדֶֽךָ	עָלַ֣י	בִ֑יוַתִּנְחַ֖ת	נִ֣חֲתוּ	כִּֽיחִ֭צֶּיךָ
𐤉𐤃𐤊	𐤏𐤋𐤉	􉀑𐤉𐤅𐤕𐤍𐤇𐤕	𐤍𐤇𐤕𐤅	𐤊𐤉𐤇𐤑𐤉𐤊
ya-da-ka	'a-la-ya	ba-ywa-tha-na-cha-tha	na-chathwa	ka-ycha-sa-yka
yadeka	'alay	biywatinehat	nihatw	kiyhiseyka
and Your hand	on me.	has pressed down	have pierced me deeply,	For Your arrows

38-2. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

38-3. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

מִמֶּֽנִּי	יִכְבְּד֥וּ	כָ֝בֵ֗ד	מַשָּׂ֥א	כְּ	רֹאשִׁ֑י	עָבְר֣וּ	כִּ֣יעֲ֭וֹנֹתַי
𐤌𐤌𐤍𐤉	𐤉𐤊􉀑𐤃𐤅	𐤊􉀑𐤃	𐤌𐤔𐤀	𐤊	𐤓𐤀𐤔𐤉	𐤏􉀑𐤓𐤅	𐤊𐤉𐤏𐤅𐤍𐤕𐤉
ma-ma-na-ya	ya-ka-ba-dwa	ka-ba-d	ma-sha-a	ka	ra-asha-ya	'a-ba-rwa	ka-y'awa-na-tha-ya
mimeniy	yikebedw	kabed	masa'	ke	ro'siy	'aberw	kiy'awonotay
	to bear.	too heavy	they are a burden		me;	have overwhelmed	For my iniquities

38-4. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

psa 38:5

אִוַּלְתִּֽי	פְּנֵ֗י	מִ֝	חַבּוּרֹתָ֑י	נָ֭מַקּוּ	הִבְאִ֣ישׁוּ
𐤀𐤅𐤋𐤕𐤉	𐤐𐤍𐤉	𐤌	𐤇􉀑𐤅𐤓𐤕𐤉	𐤍𐤌𐤒𐤅	𐤄􉀑𐤀𐤉𐤔𐤅
aa-wa-la-tha-ya	pa-na-ya	ma	cha-bwra-tha-ya	na-ma-qwa	ha-ba-aa-yshwa
'iwaletiy	peney	mi	habwrotay	namaqw	hibe'iysw
my sinful folly.	because of		My wounds	and festering	are foul

38-5. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

psa 38:6

הִלָּֽכְתִּי	קֹדֵ֥ר	הַ֝יֹּ֗ום	כָּל	מְאֹ֑ד	עַד	שַׁחֹ֣תִי	נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי
𐤄𐤋𐤊𐤕𐤉	𐤒𐤃𐤓	𐤄𐤉𐤅𐤌	𐤊𐤋	𐤌𐤀𐤃	𐤏𐤃	𐤔𐤇𐤕𐤉	𐤍𐤏𐤅𐤉𐤕𐤉
ha-la-ka-tha-ya	qa-da-r	ha-ya-wm	ka-l	ma-aa-d	'a-d	sha-cha-tha-ya	na-'awa-ytha-ya
hilaketiy	qoder	hayowm	kal	me'od	'ad	sahotiy	na'aweytiy
I go about	mourning.		all day long			and brought low;	I am bent

38-6. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

psa 38:7

בִּבְשָׂרִֽי	מְ֝תֹ֗ם	וְאֵ֥ין	נִקְלֶ֑ה	מָלְא֣וּ	כִּֽיכְ֭סָלַי
􉀑􉀑𐤔𐤓𐤉	𐤌𐤕𐤌	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤍𐤒𐤋𐤄	𐤌𐤋𐤀𐤅	𐤊𐤉𐤊𐤎𐤋𐤉
ba-ba-sha-ra-ya	ma-tha-m	wa-aa-yn	na-qa-la-ha	ma-la-awa	ka-yka-sa-la-ya
bibesariy	metom	we'eyn	niqeleh	male'w	kiykesalay
[remains] in my body.	soundness	and no	burning pain,	are full of	For my loins

38-7. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

psa 38:8

לִבִּֽי	נַּהֲמַ֥ת	מִֽ	שָׁ֝אַ֗גְתִּי	מְאֹ֑ד	עַד	וְנִדְכֵּ֣יתִי	נְפוּגֹ֣ותִי
𐤋􉀑𐤉	𐤍𐤄𐤌𐤕	𐤌	𐤔𐤀𐤂𐤕𐤉	𐤌𐤀𐤃	𐤏𐤃	𐤅𐤍𐤃𐤊𐤉𐤕𐤉	𐤍𐤐𐤅𐤂𐤅𐤕𐤉
la-ba-ya	na-hama-tha	ma	sha-aa-ga-tha-ya	ma-aa-d	'a-d	wa-na-da-ka-ytha-ya	na-pwga-wtha-ya
libiy	nahamat	mi	sa'agetiy	me'od	'ad	wenidekeytiy	nepwgowtiy
of heart.	in anguish		I groan		and badly	crushed;	I am numb

38-8. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

psa 38:9

נִסְתָּֽרָה	לֹא	מִמְּךָ֥	וְ֝אַנְחָתִ֗י	תַּאֲוָתִ֑י	כָל	נֶגְדְּךָ֥	אֲֽדֹנָי
𐤍𐤎𐤕𐤓𐤄	𐤋𐤀	𐤌𐤌𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤍𐤇𐤕𐤉	𐤕𐤀𐤅𐤕𐤉	𐤊𐤋	𐤍𐤂𐤃𐤊	𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉
na-sa-tha-ra-ha	la-a	ma-ma-ka	wa-aa-na-cha-tha-ya	tha-aawa-tha-ya	ka-l	na-ga-da-ka	aada-na-ya
nisetarah	lo'	mimeka	we'anehatiy	ta'awatiy	kal	negedeka	'adonay
hidden	is not	from You.	my groaning	desire	my every	[is] before You;	O Lord,

38-9. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

psa 38:10

אִתִּֽי	אֵ֣ין	הֵ֝֗ם	גַּם	עֵינַ֥י	וְֽאֹור	כֹחִ֑י	עֲזָבַ֣נִי	סְ֭חַרְחַר	לִבִּ֣י
𐤀𐤕𐤉	𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤄𐤌	𐤂𐤌	𐤏𐤉𐤍𐤉	𐤅𐤀𐤅𐤓	𐤊𐤇𐤉	𐤏𐤆􉀑𐤍𐤉	𐤎𐤇𐤓𐤇𐤓	𐤋􉀑𐤉
aa-tha-ya	aa-yn	ha-m	ga-m	'a-yna-ya	wa-aa-wr	ka-cha-ya	'aza-ba-na-ya	sa-cha-ra-cha-r	la-ba-ya
'itiy	'eyn	hem	gam	'eynay	we'owr	kohiy	'azabaniy	seharehar	libiy
	has faded.		and even	of my eyes	the light	my strength	fails,	pounds,	My heart

38-10. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

psa 38:11

עָמָֽדוּ	רָחֹ֥ק	מֵ	וּ֝קְרֹובַ֗י	יַעֲמֹ֑דוּ	נִגְעִ֣י	נֶּ֣גֶד	מִ	וְרֵעַ֗י	אֹֽהֲבַ֨י
𐤏𐤌𐤃𐤅	𐤓𐤇𐤒	𐤌	𐤅𐤒𐤓𐤅􉀑𐤉	𐤉𐤏𐤌𐤃𐤅	𐤍𐤂𐤏𐤉	𐤍𐤂𐤃	𐤌	𐤅𐤓𐤏𐤉	𐤀𐤄􉀑𐤉
'a-ma-dwa	ra-cha-qh	ma	wqa-ra-wba-ya	ya-'ama-dwa	na-ga-'a-ya	na-ga-d	ma	wa-ra-'a-ya	aa-haba-ya
'amadw	rahoq	me	wqerowbay	ya'amodw	nige'iy	neged	mi	were'ay	'ohabay
stand	at a distance.		and my kinsmen	shun	my disease,			and friends	My beloved

38-11. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

psa 38:12

יֶהְגּֽוּ

הַיֹּ֥ום

כָּל

וּ֝מִרְמֹ֗ות

הַוֹּ֑ות

דִּבְּר֣וּ

רָ֭עָתִי

וְדֹרְשֵׁ֣י

נַפְשִׁ֗י

מְבַקְשֵׁ֬י

וַיְנַקְשׁ֤וּ

Those who seek

lay snares;

38-12. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

psa 38:13

פִּֽיו	יִפְתַּח	לֹ֣א	אִלֵּ֗ם	וּ֝כְ	אֶשְׁמָ֑ע	לֹ֣א	חֵרֵשׁ	כְ֭	וַאֲנִ֣י
𐤐𐤉𐤅	𐤉𐤐𐤕𐤇	𐤋𐤀	𐤀𐤋𐤌	𐤅𐤊	𐤀𐤔𐤌𐤏	𐤋𐤀	𐤇𐤓𐤔	𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤍𐤉
pa-ywa	ya-pa-tha-cha	la-a	aa-la-m	wka	aa-sha-ma-'	la-a	cha-ra-sha	ka	wa-aana-ya
piyw	yipetah	lo'	'ilem	wke	'esema'	lo'	heres	ke	wa'aniy
my mouth.	open	I do not	like a mute man,	and and	hear,	do not	like a deaf man,		But I,

38-13. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

psa 38:14

תֹּוכָחֹֽות	בְּ֝פִ֗יו	וְאֵ֥ין	שֹׁמֵ֑עַ	אֲשֶׁ֣רלֹא	אִישׁ	כְּ֭	וָאֱהִ֗י
𐤕𐤅𐤊𐤇𐤅𐤕	􉀑𐤐𐤉𐤅	𐤅𐤀𐤉𐤍	𐤔𐤌𐤏	𐤀𐤔𐤓𐤋𐤀	𐤀𐤉𐤔	𐤊	𐤅𐤀𐤄𐤉
tha-wka-cha-wtha	ba-pa-ywa	wa-aa-yn	sha-ma-'a	aasha-rla-a	aa-ysha	ka	wa-au-ha-ya
towkahowt	bepiyw	we'eyn	some'a	'aserlo'	'iys	ke	wa'ehiy
offers no reply.	whose mouth		hear,	who does not	like a man		I have become

38-14. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

psa 38:15

אֱלֹהָֽי	אֲדֹנָ֥י	תַ֝עֲנֶ֗ה	אַתָּ֥ה	הֹוחָ֑לְתִּי	כִּֽילְךָ֣יְהוָ֣ה
𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉	𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉	𐤕𐤏𐤍𐤄	𐤀𐤕𐤄	𐤄𐤅𐤇𐤋𐤕𐤉	𐤊𐤉𐤋𐤊𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄
au-la-ha-ya	aada-na-ya	tha-'ana-ha	aa-tha-ha	ha-wcha-la-tha-ya	ka-yla-ka-ya-hwa-ha
'elohay	'adonay	ta'aneh	'atah	howhaletiy	kiylekayehwah
my God.	O Lord	will answer,	You	I wait	for You, O LORD;

38-15. For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

psa 38:16

הִגְדִּֽילוּ	עָלַ֥י	רַ֝גְלִ֗י	לִ֑יבְּמֹ֥וט	פֶּןיִשְׂמְחוּ	כִּֽיאָ֭מַרְתִּי
𐤄𐤂𐤃𐤉𐤋𐤅	𐤏𐤋𐤉	𐤓𐤂𐤋𐤉	𐤋𐤉􉀑𐤌𐤅𐤈	𐤐𐤍𐤉𐤔𐤌𐤇𐤅	𐤊𐤉𐤀𐤌𐤓𐤕𐤉
ha-ga-da-ylwa	'a-la-ya	ra-ga-la-ya	la-yba-ma-wt	pa-nya-sha-ma-chwa	ka-yaa-ma-ra-tha-ya
higediylw	'alay	rageliy	liybemowt	penyisemehw	kiy'amaretiy
those who taunt	me	when my foot	over me— over me— slips.”	“Let them not gloat	For I said,

38-16. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

psa 38:17

תָמִֽיד	נֶגְדִּ֣י	וּמַכְאֹובִ֖י	נָכֹ֑ון	לְצֶ֣לַע	כִּֽיאֲ֭נִי
𐤕𐤌𐤉𐤃	𐤍𐤂𐤃𐤉	𐤅𐤌𐤊𐤀𐤅􉀑𐤉	𐤍𐤊𐤅𐤍	𐤋𐤑𐤋𐤏	𐤊𐤉𐤀𐤍𐤉
tha-ma-yd	na-ga-da-ya	wma-ka-aa-wba-ya	na-ka-wn	la-sa-la-'	ka-yaana-ya
tamiyd	negediy	wmake'owbiy	nakown	lesela'	kiy'aniy
is ever	with me.	and my pain	am ready	to fall,	For I

38-17. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

psa 38:18

חַטָּאתִֽי	מֵֽ	אֶ֝דְאַ֗ג	אַגִּ֑יד	כִּֽיעֲוֹנִ֥י
𐤇𐤈𐤀𐤕𐤉	𐤌	𐤀𐤃𐤀𐤂	𐤀𐤂𐤉𐤃	𐤊𐤉𐤏𐤅𐤍𐤉
cha-ta-atha-ya	ma	aa-da-aa-gh	aa-ga-yd	ka-y'awa-na-ya
hata'tiy	me	'ede'ag	'agiyd	kiy'awoniy
by my sin.		I am troubled	I confess	Yes, my iniquity;

38-18. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

psa 38:19

שָֽׁקֶר	שֹׂנְאַ֣י	וְרַבּ֖וּ	עָצֵ֑מוּ	חַיִּ֣ים	וְֽ֭אֹיְבַי
𐤔𐤒𐤓	𐤔𐤍𐤀𐤉	𐤅𐤓􉀑𐤅	𐤏𐤑𐤌𐤅	𐤇𐤉𐤉𐤌	𐤅𐤀𐤉􉀑𐤉
sha-qa-r	sha-na-aa-ya	wa-ra-bwa	'a-sa-mwa	cha-ya-ym	wa-aa-ya-ba-ya
saqer	sone'ay	werabw	'asemw	hayiym	we'oyebay
without reason.	hate me	and many		without cause,	Many are my enemies

38-19. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

psa 38:20

טֹֽוב	רָֽדְפִי	תַּ֣חַת	יִ֝שְׂטְנ֗וּנִי	טֹובָ֑ה	תַּ֣חַת	רָ֭עָה	וּמְשַׁלְּמֵ֣י
𐤈𐤅􉀑	𐤓𐤃𐤐𐤉	𐤕𐤇𐤕	𐤉𐤔𐤈𐤍𐤅𐤍𐤉	𐤈𐤅􉀑𐤄	𐤕𐤇𐤕	𐤓𐤏𐤄	𐤅𐤌𐤔𐤋𐤌𐤉
ta-wb	ra-da-pa-ya	tha-cha-tha	ya-sha-ta-nwna-ya	ta-wba-ha	tha-cha-tha	ra-'a-ha	wma-sha-la-ma-ya
towb	radepiy	tahat	yisetenwniy	towbah	tahat	ra'ah	wmesalemey
the good.	pursuing	me for	attack	my good	with	evil	Those who repay

38-20. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

psa 38:21

מִמֶּֽנִּי	תִּרְחַ֥ק	אַל	אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י	יְהוָ֑ה	תַּֽעַזְבֵ֥נִי	אַל
𐤌𐤌𐤍𐤉	𐤕𐤓𐤇𐤒	𐤀𐤋	𐤀𐤋𐤄𐤉	𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄	𐤕𐤏𐤆􉀑𐤍𐤉	𐤀𐤋
ma-ma-na-ya	tha-ra-cha-qh	aa-l	au-la-ha-ya	ya-hwa-ha	tha-'a-za-ba-na-ya	aa-l
mimeniy	tirehaq	'al	'elohay	yehwah	ta'azebeniy	'al
from me,	far	be not	O my God.	O LORD;	forsake me,	Do not

38-21. Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

psa 38:22

תְּשׁוּעָתִֽי	אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י	לְעֶזְרָתִ֑י	ח֥וּשָׁה
𐤕𐤔𐤅𐤏𐤕𐤉	𐤀𐤃𐤍𐤉	𐤋𐤏𐤆𐤓𐤕𐤉	𐤇𐤅𐤔𐤄
tha-shw'a-tha-ya	aada-na-ya	la-'a-za-ra-tha-ya	chwsha-ha
tesw'atiy	'adonay	le'ezeratiy	hwsah
my Savior.	O Lord	to help me,	Come quickly

38-22. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
